Description
The present invention relates to a contact-type gas sensor, and more particularly, to a contact-type gas sensor having a plurality of nano-protrusions formed on a surface of a sensor chip and configured to carry an active catalyst material directly on the nano-protrusion.
At present, interest in hydrogen as an environmentally friendly alternative energy is steadily increasing. As a result, research has been conducted in various fields such as automobiles, fuel cells, and internal combustion engines, and the trend is rapidly replacing existing fossil fuels. However, due to the high diffusibility of hydrogen, there is a risk of leakage and explosion. Therefore, it is essential to take measures for safety against hydrogen leakage. Therefore, safety measures are taken by using various hydrogen sensors around the hydrogen storage and hydrogen related devices, and research and development related to hydrogen sensors are being actively carried out.
Generally, a hydrogen sensor is classified into a semiconductor type, a contact combustion type, a FET (Field Effect Transistor) type, an electrolytic type (electrical chemical formula), an optical fiber type, a thermoelectric type, Has been confirmed to have an effect on selectivity and stability by using a platinum group catalyst which is stable to external environment such as change in external temperature and humidity and has high selectivity to hydrogen.
Such conventional contact combustion type hydrogen sensor has been developed with various structures and has been filed and registered by the applicant of the present invention.
Hereinafter, a conventional contact combustion gas sensor will be described in detail.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a conventional contact-fired gas sensor, Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of a conventional contact-fired gas sensor cut along the line AA shown in Fig. 1, Fig. 2 is an enlarged view showing the structure to be supported.
The conventional contact combustion gas sensor is composed of a
The
When the
However, in such a case, in order to coat the
Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem [8] Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a sensor chip in which a plurality of nanoparticles are formed on a surface of a sensor chip, The present invention provides a contact-type gas sensor capable of supporting a larger amount of active catalyst material on a limited-sized sensor chip.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a contact-type gas sensor comprising: a base chip having electrodes for electrical connection; and a sensor chip mounted on the base chip, Nano protrusions are formed, and the active catalyst material is bonded to the surface of the nano protrusions.
The active catalyst material is deposited on the surface of the nanorods by chemical vapor deposition.
The nano protrusions are formed by mechanical machining by micro sandblasting, electrical discharge machining, and laser machining.
The nano protrusion is formed through a process of plasma etching the surface of the sensor chip after pulling the sensor chip into a chamber in which an internal pressure is maintained within a set range.
The nano protrusion is formed through a process of forming a mask pattern on the surface of the sensor chip, performing plasma etching, and then removing the mask pattern.
The nano protrusion is formed through a process of forming a silica bead layer on the surface of the sensor chip and then performing plasma etching until the silica bead layer is removed.
Since the catalytic combustion type gas sensor according to the present invention carries the active catalyst material on the surfaces of the plurality of nano bumps formed on the surface of the sensor chip, even if a separate carrier or nanotube is not used, The active catalyst material of the present invention can be supported, thereby simplifying the manufacturing process and reducing the manufacturing cost.

The contact combustion gas sensor according to the present invention significantly increases the surface area of the
That is, the contact-type gas sensor according to the present invention includes a
As described above, when a plurality of
On the other hand, when the carrier is coated on the surface of the
However, the number and height per unit area of the

In the contact-type gas sensor according to the present invention, the
When the surface of the
When the CF 4 gas alone is used in the plasma etching while the pressure in the chamber is maintained at 2 Pa, the
As described above, the technical idea that a plurality of

It is desirable that the size of the
Accordingly, the process of forming the
In order to form the
7 (c), only the portions of the upper surface of the
After the

8 is a cross-sectional view sequentially showing the process of forming nano protrusions on the surface of the sensor chip according to the fourth embodiment.
Since many work processes are added to form the
Accordingly, in the contact-type gas sensor according to the present invention, a plurality of nano-
When the
On the other hand, since the silica beads are present as particles, even if the silica dispersion solution is dried to form the
Therefore, when the plasma etching is performed in the state shown in FIG. 8A, the portion exposed between the silica beads in the upper surface of the
Since the technique of forming the
As described above, since the
