Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0001] The present invention relates to a method for simultaneously viewing a plurality of home shopping broadcast VODs through a screen division interface of a digital TV,

The present invention relates to a TV shopping method, and more particularly to a T-commerce data broadcasting.

Consumers want to make purchases while comparing products. Consumers want to compare multiple products whether they are comparing the same or similar products. To meet consumer needs, companies have tried to provide product comparison services. Most of today's online shopping malls are equipped with these service functions.

It is possible to reflect the flow of online shopping on television home shopping channels, but such attempts face technical difficulties. In order to compare products through TV home shopping broadcast, several home shopping broadcast images must be displayed on one TV screen. However, since broadcast contents are received by a television receiver via a unique channel, multi-channel broadcasting must be implemented on one screen at a specific point in time. In order to realize this, video equipment and data processing technology that output different channels technically are needed.

Korean Patent Publication No. 2007-61000 proposes a time-shifting method for each channel in a multi-channel simultaneous display and a multi-channel broadcast receiving apparatus using the same. One screen is divided into a plurality of windows, and broadcast data of different channels are simultaneously output to the respective windows. In order to achieve this, a plurality of channel data processing units must be provided, and a video synthesizing unit for synthesizing the video signals of the output data of each channel is essential. For example, if there are four broadcast images, the TV apparatus must have four channel data processing units, and the channel data must be synthesized through the image synthesis unit and processed and displayed in the A / V decoder.

Although such a conventional technique is theoretically possible, a new TV device must be installed in the home or have a high-level data processing technology in order to actually perform the same. Therefore, we are confronted with the reality that it is very difficult to actually carry out.

The inventors of the present invention have studied for a long time in order to solve such a problem and made an effort to reach the following conclusion. The fundamental difficulty of the prior art is that it tries to view real-time broadcasts received via different channels on a single screen. It was then that there was a need to abandon the idea of dominating a long-time trader and approach it with a new concept. In other words, it is a challenging idea whether the comparison of products in a home shopping broadcast is possible if the broadcasting contents received through the same channel are not divided into different broadcasting channels but divided into several and displayed on the screen. And the present invention has been difficultly completed through the conception.

In the conventional VOD viewing, only one VOD can be watched, and the VOD can be watched only when the playback of the VOD is finished. That is, it is impossible to compare the VOD of home shopping broadcasts viewed via the same channel as well as the broadcasts viewed via different channels.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a technology for enabling comparison of products in a home shopping broadcast provided through a broadcast channel allocated to the same channel. A plurality of home shopping VODs are displayed through a data broadcasting application screen and a plurality of home shopping VODs are displayed by using a user interface technique of the data broadcasting application screen so that a user can compare products.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a method of allowing a user to dynamically reconfigure a product comparison configuration using a bi-directional communication technology of a home shopping data broadcasting.

On the other hand, other unspecified purposes of the present invention will be further considered within the scope of the following detailed description and easily deduced from the effects thereof.

In order to achieve the above object, a first aspect of the present invention is a method for simultaneously viewing a plurality of home shopping broadcast VODs through a screen division interface of a digital TV,

(a) a digital TV accesses a service server providing a home shopping broadcast VOD service and requests a VOD service;

(b) the service server displaying a plurality of home shopping broadcast VOD lists on a screen of a digital TV through a VOD selection interface;

(c) the input means of the digital TV selects at least two VODs through the VOD selection interface and requests VOD transmission; And

(d) transmitting the plurality of VODs selected by the service server to the digital TV, and simultaneously reproducing a plurality of VODs through the VOD screen division interface.

In a preferred embodiment, at least one of the VOD selection interface and the VOD screen division interface is a user interface of a TV application installed in a set-top box connected to the digital TV.

In a preferred embodiment, at least one of the VOD selection interface and the VOD screen division interface is a broadcast screen configuration of a channel provided by the service server.

In a preferred embodiment, the VOD screen division interface may further include a screen control interface for controlling an image or a voice.

In a preferred embodiment, the screen control interface includes a full screen view for playing back a selected VOD on a full screen, a split screen for playing a plurality of VODs, a broadcast audio on-off, , Canceling the VOD for canceling the VOD reproduction of the selected video, and viewing another product list for displaying another product list.

According to the present invention, a plurality of merchandise VODs can be easily reproduced in one T-commerce data broadcasting home shopping channel. The user is able to sufficiently compare the products by viewing a plurality of merchandise VODs.

Through a process of comparing a plurality of products, the user can make a reasonable purchase decision on his own, which can reduce the time required for the purchase decision and lead to a quick purchase decision.

In addition, since the user can select a product to be directly viewed using the present invention, it is possible to prevent channel deviation and increase the degree of immersion in home shopping broadcasting.

Therefore, the present invention can increase the sales of the data broadcasting home shopping because it induces the active participation of the user to increase the audience rating as well as to help rational purchase decision making.

FIG. 2 is a flowchart for explaining an embodiment of a method for displaying a plurality of merchandise VODs of the present invention through a screen division interface of a digital TV.

When the digital TV selects a T-commerce data broadcasting channel, the set-top box attempts to access a service server providing T-commerce data broadcasting (S 1100). The service server inquires the identifier (ID) of the set-top box that tries to access and confirms whether or not to join the data broadcasting service (S1200). When it is confirmed that the subscriber is a legitimate subscriber, the service server transmits the T-commerce data broadcasting user interface and the content to be displayed on the corresponding user interface to the set-top box (S1300). The set-top box displays the T-commerce data broadcasting user interface and the contents on the digital TV (S1400). The user interface may include a VOD area for reproducing broadcast contents, and a TV application area for performing independent functions. A VOD for the home shopping product can be broadcast in the VOD area, and a recommended product or related product content can be displayed in the TV application area.

In a preferred embodiment, when a digital TV requests entry of a commodity list view screen of a T-commerce data broadcast using a selection means such as a remote controller (S2100), the set-top box transmits it to a service server (S2200). The service server transmits a plurality of goods list to the set-top box at the request of the set-top box (S2300). The set-top box displays a plurality of commodity lists on the plurality of commodity list viewing screens of the digital TV (S2400). At this time, the set-top box displays a product selection interface together with a plurality of product lists. The product selection interface is an interface that enables the digital TV to select at least two items from a plurality of product lists.

The digital TV selects at least two goods from among the plurality of goods list using the goods selection interface (S3100). The product selection interface can be controlled by a remote control. For example, you can select items by pressing the OK button on the desired product by moving the arrow buttons on the remote control up and down. The set-top box transmits a list of the selected products to the service server, and requests a VOD for the goods (S3200). The service server retrieves at least two VODs requested from the VOD database and transmits them to the set-top box (S3300). The set-top box displays a screen-splitting interface on the digital TV, and allows at least two VODs to be reproduced on the screen-splitting interface. The screen division interface is an interface for reproducing a plurality of VODs. The screen division interface includes at least two VOD reproduction areas that can be independently partitioned and reproduce different VODs. The digital TV simultaneously reproduces at least two VODs through the screen division interface (S3400).

3, the user interface 100 of the T-commerce data broadcasting may include a VOD area 120 for reproducing broadcast content, and a TV application area 130, 140, 150 for performing an independent function. In the case of general television broadcasting, the broadcast content is reproduced on the TV while occupying the entire screen. However, the VOD area 120 according to the present invention preferably has a size of 30 to 50% of the entire screen of the TV. By configuring the VOD area 120 of the data broadcast to be 50% or less, an environment in which the viewer can intuitively distinguish the difference between the T-commerce data broadcast and the television broadcast of the present invention is created. If the VOD area 120 is less than 30%, it is possible to experience a side effect of deteriorating the visibility of broadcasting. In the present invention, when a viewer connects to a service server by selecting T-commerce data broadcasting in a TV broadcast with a remote controller, the user interface 100 having a VOD area 120 in a range of 30 to 50% of the TV screen is displayed as a default . It is needless to say that the user interface 100 is displayed so that the viewer can distinguish the home shopping channel of the data broadcast, not the TV broadcast home shopping channel, and then the full screen view can be commanded by using a remote controller button or the like. The TV application areas 130, 140, and 150 execute TV applications that perform independent functions in independent areas. For example, a function of real-time ranking display of content, a product recommending function, and a discount event providing function can be executed. In the event area 160, a button capable of executing an event such as a purchase event or the like may be displayed.

4 is a view showing a preferred embodiment of the product list view screen of the present invention.

The product list view screen 200 may include a category selection interface 210 for selecting a category of a product and a product display interface 220 for displaying a plurality of products included in the category. In the embodiment of FIG. 4, eight items of merchandise information are displayed on the merchandise display interface 220, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

5 is a diagram showing a preferred embodiment of the goods selection interface of the present invention.

The product selection interface provides a means for selecting at least two goods among the goods displayed on the goods display interface (220). In a preferred embodiment, the product selection interface may display (223) that a product has been selected as a method of changing the visibility of the product 221 displayed on the product display interface. For example, the product selection interface can change the visual quality of the product by displaying the border of the selected product in a bold or displaying the selected product in a translucent manner. The product selection interface can be operated by a means such as a remote control. For example, moving the directional keys on the remote control to the top, bottom, left, or right changes the visibility of the product.

The product selection interface provides an interface for the final selection of a product. Example Press the OK button on the remote control to finally select the product. The goods display interface 220 displays the final selected goods by changing the visibility of the finally selected goods. For example, the visibility of the finally selected product can be changed by adding a check mark 223 to the finally selected product. In this way, the user can finally select at least two goods among the displayed goods by using the goods display interface 220.

The product selection interface may provide a multi-view button 225 requesting to simultaneously reproduce the VOD for the selected plurality of goods. In a preferred embodiment, the multi-view button 225 may be activated after a predetermined number of goods have been selected, or at least two goods have been selected. For example, when four goods are selected, the multi-view button 225 may be displayed at the bottom of the goods display interface 220. When the multi-view button 225 is selected, the screen disappears from the product display interface 220, and the VOD of the selected product can be simultaneously reproduced through the screen division interface.

6 is a diagram showing a preferred embodiment of the screen division interface of the present invention.

When the multi-view button 225 is selected, the screen division interface is displayed. In the preferred embodiment, the screen division interface may be displayed in the VOD area 120 of FIG. The screen division interface may include a plurality of VOD playback areas for dividing the VOD area. The VOD area may be divided into four VOD reproduction areas 121, 122, 123, and 124, but is not limited thereto. The VODs for the four goods selected in FIG. 5 are simultaneously reproduced in the respective VOD reproduction regions 121, 122, 123, and 124.

Although not shown, the screen division interface may further include a sound selection interface for selecting at least two of the at least two VOD reproduction areas and outputting the VOD reproduced in the selected VOD reproduction area. For example, the sound selection interface can select the VOD playback area by manipulating the directional keys of the remote control up, down, left, and right. The selected VOD playback area can be displayed by changing the visibility, such as highlighting the border. The digital TV can output the voice of the selected VOD playback area to the speaker.

7 is a diagram showing a preferred embodiment of the screen control interface of the present invention.

When a plurality of VODs are reproduced through the screen division interface, a screen control interface 170 for controlling an image or sound reproduced in the screen division interface may be displayed.
