Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an LP EGR apparatus using a vortex tube and a control method thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to an LP EGR apparatus using a vortex tube, and more particularly, to an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus To an LP EGR apparatus that can be cooled using a vortex tube before being supplied to an engine, and to selectively use a vortex tube according to an operation state, and a control method thereof.
It is generally known that diesel engines consume less fuel and are more efficient than gasoline engines. It is usually about 40% efficient, depending on the high compression ratio of the diesel engine. In recent engines, a turbocharger and an intercooler are additionally provided to obtain a larger output.
The engine system using the turbocharger sucks and compresses the exhaust gas or the outside air by the compressor of the turbocharger, and supplies the generated supercharged air (high-temperature compressed air) to the engine side. However, the rapidly compressed air absorbs the heat generated by the turbocharger and the heat generated during the compression thereof, resulting in a lowered density, resulting in a reduction in the charging efficiency in the engine combustion chamber. Therefore, by using the intercooler, it is possible to cool the supercharged air to obtain a high density, and as a result, more air can be sucked into the engine combustion chamber to obtain high output.
그 중에서 대표적인 것이 배기가스 재순환 장치, 즉,EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) 장치이다. In recent years, a part of exhaust gas including carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC), nitrogen oxide (NOx) and the like in the exhaust gas is recycled in accordance with exhaust gas regulation trends such as EURO-3 or EURO- Various devices for further reducing the content have been proposed. A representative example of the exhaust gas recirculation device is an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) device. However, the conventional EGR apparatus can not sufficiently reduce the soot of the recirculated exhaust gas, and does not actively control the recirculation rate (EGR rate) of the exhaust gas depending on the pressure state of the exhaust gas or the like, and also reduces the temperature of the recirculated exhaust gas There was a limit to make.
In this connection, an LP EGR apparatus has recently been proposed which can pass an exhaust gas aftertreatment filter to recirculate exhaust gas having a high degree of air cleanliness to the engine side. However, in the conventional LP EGR apparatus, there is a limit to the exhaust gas temperature reduction depending on the intercooler in circulating exhaust gas cooling, and there are many limitations in controlling the recirculation rate and temperature of the exhaust gas depending on the operating state.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide an exhaust gas recirculation system capable of recirculating an exhaust gas having a high air cleanliness through an exhaust gas after-treatment filter (more specifically, a DPF) And an LP EGR apparatus and a control method thereof that can be cooled by using a tube and selectively use a vortex tube according to an operation condition.
