Description
The present invention relates to a passive type catalyst re-combiner for reducing the concentration of hydrogen accumulated in a reactor, a manufacturing method therefor, and a hydrogen treatment method in a reactor using the same.
In general, serious accidents that may occur during the operation of a nuclear power plant include: Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA) caused by the leakage of cooling water from the primary system, which includes the reactor, core melt accident, And earthquake accidents.
In the event of such a serious accident, the cooling function of the fuel can not be performed and the internal temperature of the reactor suddenly rises. At this time, the metals constituting the reactor react with the surrounding water vapor (water) do.
Among them, when water and zirconium (Zr) react with each other, a large amount of hydrogen is generated, and when a large amount of hydrogen accumulates in the containment vessel protecting the reactor, explosion may occur in a small ignition source.
In addition, such hydrogen has a low density. Hydrogen accumulates in the upper part of a nuclear power plant containment vessel and can be exploded if it is exposed to a temperature higher than the ignition point. Such an explosion causes the containment vessel to collapse, It leads to radiation leakage and causes a fatal problem.
At present, the regulations on nuclear power regulations stipulate that the instantaneous concentration of hydrogen in the compartment should not exceed 10% even in case of the above serious accident.
Therefore, in order to prevent accidents caused by the accumulation of hydrogen and to satisfy the relevant laws and regulations, there is a method in which an igniter is installed in a containment vessel of a nuclear power generation facility to directly burn hydrogen discharged, A method of collecting a certain amount of hydrogen-air mixture gas for forced release (filtered vent system), and a method of removing hydrogen based on hydrogen catalytic combustion by installing a large number of passive catalyst recombiners in the containment vessel are used.
Among them, the passive type catalyst re-combiner does not require the operation of the operator because the oxidation reaction of hydrogen occurs automatically when the hydrogen comes into contact with the catalyst plate and the hydrogen is removed. Therefore, unlike the igniter requiring operation of the operator, It has the advantage of being available, and is currently the most used in nuclear power plants.
1 shows the structure of a general passive type catalyst re-combiner.
1, the driven catalytic recombiner includes a
The hydrogen contained in the mixed gas flowing into the
The
However, in the
FIG. 2 shows the change of the hydrogen concentration according to the shape of the flow generated by the general passive type catalyst re-mixer shown in FIG. 1 and the length of the
The mixed gas of hydrogen and air flows in the form of laminar flow on the
As shown in the right side of FIG. 2, when the length of the
Therefore, the conventional general passive type catalytic re-combiner has a limitation on the amount of hydrogen that can be removed per unit of time. In order to remove more hydrogen, an excessively large number of water can be installed in the containment building, or a large- There is a problem that the
In recent years, the development of a technique for improving the structure of the passive type catalyst re-combiner to improve the performance of hydrogen elimination has actively been made, and has been disclosed in numerous patent documents.
For example, Korean Patent Registration No. 10-0309061 " An apparatus for treating air containing hydrogen gas " is intended to provide a device capable of reliably and safely treating hydrogen in a gas mixture containing hydrogen, and includes an intake port and an exhaust port The heat generated due to the recombination reaction of hydrogen promoted by the catalyst bed partially heated by the heater on the housing gas passage is propagated to the catalyst adjacent to the region where the recombination reaction occurs and the entire catalyst bed is activated, So that the processing can be quickly performed.
Also, the domestic registered utility model No. 20-0464123 'Passive type automatic catalytic recombinator' provides a device capable of effectively removing the hydrogen generated in the containment vessel by preventing water droplets generated in the containment vessel of the reactor from flowing into the apparatus A catalyst body housing assembly for mounting the catalyst body and detachably mounting the catalyst body on the lower end of the cover body; As shown in FIG.
However, the above-mentioned patent documents have a problem of the above-described conventional technology, since a catalyst plate structure having a simple arrangement in the direction of the mixed gas passing through the chamber is applied.
In view of the above, it is an object of the present invention to improve the removal efficiency of hydrogen stored in a closed containment vessel through a passive type catalytic converter having the same size and a catalyst plate length, The present invention provides a passive type catalyst re-combiner having a characteristic that can be repaired, a manufacturing method therefor, and a method of hydrotreating a reactor containment vessel using the same.

According to the passive type catalyst re-combination unit and the method for hydrotreating a reactor containment vessel using the same, the laminar boundary layer is generated when the mixed gas flows through the catalytic reaction unit in which the two rows of catalyst plates are staggered, By increasing the possibility, it is possible to increase the hydrogen removal rate and to prevent the fatal damage in the accident of the nuclear power plant.

Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, which illustrate exemplary embodiments of the present invention. The present invention is not limited to these embodiments.
Fig. 3 shows the outer shape of the passive catalyst re-assembler according to the present embodiment.
3, the driven catalytic recombiner of the present invention shows an outer shape, and includes a
The
The
At this time, the
The driven catalytic recombiner of the present invention configured as described above includes a
FIG. 4 shows an internal shape of the passive catalyst re-combiner shown in FIG. 3, and the structure of the present invention will be described in detail.
Referring to FIG. 4, the passive catalyst re-assembler according to the present embodiment includes a
The
At this time, if the
At this time, it is preferable that the
The
Thus, the mixed gas passing through the inside of the
Particularly, the catalytic reacting
Therefore, the passive type catalytic recombiner of the present invention generates multiple boundary layers through a plurality of
Particularly, it is not necessary to form a plurality of columns of
The catalytic reacting
5 shows changes in the hydrogen concentration depending on the shape of the flow generated by the driven catalytic recombiner and the length of the catalyst plate according to the present embodiment.
Referring to FIG. 5, the mixed gas containing hydrogen passes through the
At this time, as the mixed gas flows through the
However, since the molecular diffusion rate of the laminar flow is very slow, the hydrogen removal rate becomes lower toward the rear end of the
5, the hydrogen that has not been recombined through the
8 is a graph showing the hydrogen removal rate according to the length of the mixed gas of the general catalyst plate in the passing direction.
As shown in FIG. 8, the concentration of hydrogen is steeply decreased at the front end of the
According to the passive type catalyst re-combination unit and the hydrogen treatment method using the same, the
9 is a graph comparing the hydrogen concentration distribution of the exhaust gas discharged through the passive type catalyst re-combiner according to the present embodiment and the conventional passive catalyst re-combiner.
In particular, FIG. 9 is a graph showing the relationship between the catalyst plate 430 (see FIG. 2) and the catalyst plate 430 (FIG. 2) The results are shown in Table 1. The results are shown in Fig.
Referring to FIG. 9, it can be seen that the present invention has the effect of reducing the hydrogen concentration by about 14% compared to the hydrogen concentration of the conventional technology, and the average concentration is 1.57% for the present invention and 1.83% for the existing technology.

The first
When the lifetime of the first
The number of the first
