Description
The present invention relates to a high-transmittance photocatalytic thin film having a multilayered nanostructure and a method of manufacturing the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a photocatalytic thin film having a low refractive index A photocatalytic thin film having a multilayered nanostructure in which oxides are stacked on the upper and lower surfaces of the intermediate layer, respectively, and the respective layers are deposited on a substrate under specific conditions, thereby increasing the transmittance and exhibiting excellent hydrophilicity and organic decomposition characteristics, Display and the like, and a method for manufacturing the same.
Conventionally, there have been a lot of studies for applying a thin film of titanium dioxide thin film by sputtering or applying a solvent in which titanium dioxide nano powder is dispersed and using it as a photocatalyst. However, in anatase crystal phase, which is mainly used as a photocatalyst in titanium dioxide, electrons from a valence band to a conduction band are excited by ultraviolet photon energy having a bandgap of about 3.2 eV and a bandgap energy or more. However, there is a limitation in expressing the photocatalytic properties. In addition, due to the characteristic of titanium dioxide having a high refractive index of n = 2 or more, when the film is deposited by 100 nm or more, the transmittance is lowered by 5% or more in comparison with the substrate. have.
Korean Patent Registration No. 2010-0870213 discloses a technique of "antireflection photocatalyst composition and glass substrate using the same", wherein a solvent in which TiO 2 -WO x prepared in nanoscale is dispersed is applied on a glass substrate to have a transmittance of 2.08% And a photocatalyst having a photocatalytic property are disclosed. However, this technique does not overcome the limitation of the photocatalyst that requires external light but retains its characteristics.
In Korean Patent No. 1998-700294, as a technique related to " a windowpane having an antireflection coating ", there has been proposed a technique of alternately depositing materials having a high refractive index and a low refractive index through vacuum deposition in order to increase the light transmittance. However, this technique lacks improvement in transmittance and can not be manufactured in a nanostructure form, and thus has limitations in application fields.
그 외에도, 양극산화된 다공성의 알루미늄 산화물을 제조한 후 TiO2를 ALD법으로 증착한 후 알루미늄 산화물을 제거하여 나노 튜브 형패턴의 TiO2를 증착하는 기술(“Transparent, Well-Aligned TiO2 Nanotube Arrays with Controllable Dimensions on Glass Substrates for Photocatalytic Applications“, Lee Kheng Tan et. al.,Applied materials & interfaces, 2(2), p.498, 2010) 등과 같이 광촉매의 분해성능을 증진시키는 많은 연구가 있었다. In addition to this, TiO2 is deposited by ALD method after the production of anodic oxidized porous aluminum oxide, then aluminum oxide is removed to deposit TiO2 of nanotube pattern (" Transparent, Well-Aligned TiO2 Nanotube Arrays with Controllable Dimensions , Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2 (2), p. 498, 2010), and the like, in order to improve the decomposition performance of the photocatalyst. However, these technologies also have problems such as the production of porous aluminum oxide and the complicated processes such as aluminum oxide removal.
As described above, there has been no research result on the nano-structured photocatalyst deposition method in which the manufacturing process is simple and the photocatalytic characteristic is maintained for a long time without external light and the light transmittance relative to the substrate can be remarkably increased.
In order to solve the problems of the conventional techniques, it has been studied for a long time that if a specific oxide having a low refractive index is laminated on the upper and lower portions of the intermediate layer of the nano-structured titanium dioxide doped with Group IV and V elements, And the present invention has been completed.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a nano-structured photocatalytic thin film having high physical properties and high transmittance.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail as an embodiment.
The present invention relates to a high transmittance photocatalytic thin film of a multilayer nanostructure comprising a substrate, a first low refractive index thin film layer (lower layer), a titanium dioxide layer (intermediate layer) and a second low refractive index thin film layer (upper layer) A substrate or a polymer substrate selected from polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) and polyisosulfonate (PES) can be used.
In the present invention, oxides such as silicon dioxide, silicon dioxide or silicon dioxide can be used as the low refractive index thin film layer used as the lower layer and the upper layer. In the case of using a glass substrate, silicon dioxide More preferable. However, the lower layer and the upper layer generally use the same components and include other components that are used in combination with other components meeting the low refractive index condition.
The reason why the first low refractive index thin film layer having a lower refractive index than the substrate is formed in the lower layer in the present invention is that the reflectance increases and the transmittance decreases relative to the difference in refractive index between the substrate and the incident layer. It is preferable to use a layer such as silicon oxide having a low refractive index of about 1.4 which is about 10% lower than that of the substrate (1.5 in the case of glass). If the refractive index difference between the substrate and the first refractive layer is less than the lower refractive index, there is a problem that the transmittance is not improved, and the materials having a larger refractive index difference are difficult to deposit by sputtering, and a high temperature deposition process may be required.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the titanium dioxide layer used as the intermediate layer includes Group IV and Group V, and examples of the Group IV and V elements include C, N, Si, Ge, Sn, Pb, N, Sb, and Bi, and preferably C and N are preferably used. The reason for including IV and V in the titanium dioxide layer is that it is necessary to substitute oxygen or substitute Ti to reduce the band gap, and the content thereof is desirably 20 wt% or less based on the titanium dioxide layer. If the content is too large, the formation of the second phase is not preferable.
The reason for forming the second low refractive index thin film layer having a lower refractive index than the titanium dioxide layer in the present invention is to reduce the refractive index difference between the titanium dioxide layer and the incident layer. In this case, the refractive index of the second low refractive index thin film layer It is preferable to use a layer such as silicon oxide having a low refractive index of about 1.4 which is as low as about 50%. If the difference in refractive index between the titanium dioxide layer and the second refractive layer is less than this, there is a problem that the transmittance is not improved. In the case of materials having a larger refractive index difference, large-area deposition through sputtering is difficult and a high-
Preferably, the photocatalytic film layer of the present invention is formed such that the first low refractive index thin film layer (lower layer) has a thickness of 5-300 nm, preferably 10-300 nm. If the thickness is too thick, the deposition time becomes longer, There is a problem of falling, and when the thickness is too thin, the optical thickness is reduced and the transmittance is lowered. The intermediate layer of the titanium dioxide layer is preferably formed to a thickness of 5-300 nm, preferably 10-200 nm. If the thickness is too thick or too thin, the transmittance becomes low. The second low refractive index thin film layer (upper layer) is preferably formed to a thickness of 5-300 nm, preferably 10-100 nm. If the thickness is too thick, the deposition time becomes longer and the mass productivity is lowered. There is a problem that the transmittance is lowered.
The photolytic thin film according to the present invention has a microstructure of the same shape as the electron microscope photograph of FIG. 1, and can be expressed by the structure as shown in FIG. 2. Here, the lower layer is a continuous thin film, and the middle layer and the upper layer are discontinuous. This is because the surface of the titanium dioxide layer as the intermediate layer has a porous nanostructure and the surface thereof is discontinuous, so that the second low refractive index thin film layer formed thereon is discontinuously formed.
The photocatalyst thin film according to the present invention is most typically manufactured by forming a first low refractive index thin film layer as a lower layer, a titanium dioxide layer having a nanostructure of an intermediate layer, and a second low refractive index thin film layer as an upper layer on a substrate by a scattering method, Preparing a substrate, depositing silicon dioxide, silicon dioxide or silicon dioxide on the substrate to form a first low refractive index thin film layer, and injecting a reactive gas including Group IV and Group V, Depositing titanium to form a titanium dioxide layer having a nanostructure, and forming a second low refractive index thin film layer.
The manufacturing process of the multi-layer structure of the photocatalyst thin film according to the present invention preferably uses a sputtering equipment. In FIG. 2, a multilayer structure of a first low refractive index thin film layer (lower layer) -nano-structured titanium dioxide layer (intermediate layer) -super second low refractive index thin film layer (upper layer) formed on a substrate can be seen. In the case of the
In the case of the titanium dioxide (300) having the nanostructure according to the present invention, the refractive index is low (n = 1.7 to 1.3) as compared with the dense thin film on the average, including many pores compared to the flat thin film. Lt; / RTI > It is preferable to use a second low refractive index
In the present invention, it is preferable that the refractive index difference is 0.3 or less at the interface between the first and second low refractive index thin film layers and the titanium dioxide layer, more preferably, the refractive index difference with respect to each interface is as low as 0.1 or less, So that the transmittance can be increased in comparison with the substrate through the multilayer antireflection structure having a low refractive index, a high refractive index and a low refractive index.
At this time, the deposition of the first and second low refractive index thin film layers and the titanium dioxide layer is performed at room temperature to 80 占 폚.
Referring to FIG. 3, an
Thus, the nanostructured photocatalytic thin film of the present invention can be manufactured by a simple process without the need of a separate component removing step, etc., and a low refractive index thin film layer is formed on and under the titanium dioxide layer, Transmittance is increased by at least 3%, at least 3 - 5%, at least 2 - 4%, at least 2 - 4%, compared to the glass substrate at 550 nm wavelength. In addition, since the titanium dioxide photocatalyst layer exhibits hydrophilicity and organic decomposition characteristics, the photocatalyst characteristic can be maintained for a long time without external light, so that it can be applied to various applications. And typically exhibits a light transmittance in the range of 94-95%.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the following examples. However, the present invention is not limited to the following examples.

The base pressure of the sputtering equipment equipped with a 40 cm wide silicon sputtering target was lowered to 5 × 10 -6 Torr through a vacuum pump and the pressure in the chamber was adjusted to 10 -3 Torr by controlling the ratio of argon (Ar) and oxygen (O 2) And when a voltage is applied to the sputtering target, a plasma is generated. At this time, a power of several kilowatts is applied, and the cleaned glass substrate is deposited on the deposition unit and then deposited at a room temperature of 10-100 nm.
Subsequently, the base pressure of a sputtering apparatus equipped with a 40 cm wide titanium sputtering target on a silicon dioxide deposited substrate was lowered to 5 x 10 < -6 > Torr through a vacuum pump and argon (Ar), oxygen V group element reactive gas is controlled at a ratio of 100: 1: 100 to 100: 100: 1 to increase the pressure in the chamber to 10 -4 to 10 -3 Torr. When a voltage is applied to the sputtering target, plasma is generated. At this time, electric power is applied at a few kW and is deposited at a room temperature of 10-100 nm.
Thereafter, the base pressure of the sputtering apparatus equipped with the silicon sputtering target was lowered to 5 × 10 -6 Torr through a vacuum pump, and then argon (Ar) and oxygen (O 2) were also controlled at a ratio of 1: 1 to 100: The pressure in the chamber is increased to 10 -3 Torr and a voltage is applied to the sputtering target to generate plasma. At this time, when power is applied at several kW, it is deposited at room temperature at a thickness of about 10-50 nm.

Experimental Example 3: Hydrophilicity measurement of multi-layered titanium dioxide nanostructured in a dark room condition
When irradiated with ultraviolet rays of a conventional photocatalyst, hydrophilic properties are obtained. The hydrophilicity evaluation is carried out by measuring the contact angle between the surface of the photocatalyst and the distilled water by bringing distilled water droplets into contact with the surface of the photocatalyst.

FIG. 7 is a graph showing a result of measuring the contact angle after placing Sample B, which is 100 nm in thickness, of pure titanium dioxide, which is not a nano structure, in a dark room.
In Sample C, the contact angle was 5 ° C just after UV irradiation, 12 ° C after 12 hours, 27 ° C after 1 day, and 34 ° C after 2 days. Generally, when the contact angle is 30 degrees or less, it is generally referred to as a hydrophilic surface. Therefore, in the case of ordinary photocatalyst, the hydrophilic characteristic is lost after 2 days in a dark room condition without external light energy. In case of Sample B, the contact angle decreased by 0 degree immediately after ultraviolet irradiation, and the contact angle increased by 4.6 degrees after 8 days and by 17.7 degrees after 27 days. In the case of titanium dioxide containing IV and V elements having nanostructures, it can be seen that the titanium dioxide retains hydrophilicity for about one month without external light energy, compared with titanium dioxide in the general thin film form.
