Description
The present invention relates to a fuel cell stack storage system of a fuel cell vessel and a vessel having the same.
It is a long time ago that environmental issues have become a global issue, but in recent years countries have been increasingly focusing on marine environmental issues.
In this regard, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) is also in the process of regulating ships' environmental conditions. have.
Accordingly, the most recent technological crisis in the ship industry is the development of eco-friendly ships, the most interesting part of the market is the technology that can reduce energy and pollutants during operation.
Accordingly, many technologies have been developed and fuel cell ships have emerged as a way to fundamentally solve various pollutants such as oxidizing pollutants (NOx, SOx, etc.), particulate matter (various soot, etc.).
The fuel cell vessel is a high efficiency eco-friendly power generation vessel that converts chemical energy of hydrogen and oxygen into electrical energy directly by electrochemical reaction.
Diesel engines used mainly in ships emit various air pollutants, whereas fuel cells emit little air pollutants. Especially, NOx and SOx emissions regulated by IMO are close to zero.
In addition, the thermal efficiency of the fuel cell is close to 80% compared to that of the diesel engine is about 40%, which is almost the best among the methods to avoid energy savings and environmental regulations.

Among them, a fuel cell stack is a main body of a fuel cell in which dozens or hundreds of unit cells are stacked in series to obtain a desired electric output.
The fuel cell supplies hydrogen and air to the fuel cell stack using a fuel supply, and electrochemical reactions are generated inside the fuel cell stack to generate electricity, heat, and water, and the power converter (EBOP) is generated from the fuel cell stack. The direct current electricity is converted into alternating current and linked to the power system in the ship.
