Description

Adhesive resin curing apparatus for attaching touch display panel

The present invention relates to an adhesive material curing apparatus for attaching a touch display panel, and more particularly, ultraviolet rays are irradiated to only four edge portions of a panel before bonding the panel and the touch assembly to selectively cure only the adhesive material applied to the edge portion of the panel. After the panel and the touch assembly are bonded, the present invention relates to a bonding material curing apparatus for attaching a touch display panel to temporarily harden the entire adhesive by irradiating ultraviolet rays to the entire bonding panel.

Due to the popularization of smartphones and tablet PCs, the demand for touch-enabled display panels is surging. In general, a touchable display, that is, a touch panel is manufactured by bonding a touch assembly, which is a panel to which a touch function is added, to a general display panel such as an LCD.

As shown in FIG. 1, the bonding of the display panel and the touch assembly is conventionally clear adhesive (OCA) along an edge portion of which a bezel is placed on the upper surface of the display panel DP. The tape TA is attached and the touch assembly TA is attached thereto. However, when the panel DP and the touch assembly TA are bonded together using the OCA tape TA as described above, the thickness of the OCA tape TA is thick and the overall thickness of the display device is, of course, the OCA tape. An air gap is formed on the center side without (TA), resulting in poor image quality, such as reduced sharpness and narrower viewing angle.

Recently, as shown in FIG. 2, various types of OCR (Optically Clear Resin) adhesives (AD), including Loctite® LOCA (Loctite Liquid Optically Clear Adhesives), are evenly applied to the entire upper surface of the panel (DP). By bonding the touch assembly TA thereon, the overall thickness of the display device is prevented from being thickened and image quality is prevented from being deteriorated.

When the display panel and the touch assembly are bonded together using such an adhesive resin, before bonding, only the adhesive applied to the four edges of the panel is cured to form a dam to prevent the inner adhesive from flowing down or overflowing. There is a need, and after bonding, an operation for curing all of the remaining uncured adhesive material is required.

In Korean Patent Laid-Open No. 10-2012-0096141, only the adhesive is applied only to a part of the panel in a dot method on the edge part and the inside of the panel, and at the same time, the UV lamp is moved along the edge part of the panel to harden the edge, and then An apparatus is provided for curing the entire adhesive material.

However, according to this conventional apparatus, as the UV lamp is cured while moving along the edge of the panel, the configuration of the driving unit for moving the UV lamp is complicated, and the degree of curing is different for each part according to the deviation of the moving speed. There is a disadvantage that the width of the hardened surface is not uniform due to the flow of the UV lamp.

The present invention has been proposed to solve the problems described above, the curing of the adhesive material of the four edges of the panel and the curing of the entire adhesive material is possible in sequence, but the configuration is simple, the curing width of the four edges of the panel (dam width It is an object of the present invention to provide an adhesive curing device for attaching a touch display panel that can uniformly form and uniformly adjust the degree of curing for each part.

To this end, the adhesive material curing apparatus for bonding the touch display panel according to the present invention includes: a UV lamp unit 500 disposed on an upper side of the panel DP to irradiate ultraviolet rays downward; UV mask disposed between the panel DP and the UV lamp unit 500 to shield the central portion of the panel DP so that ultraviolet rays emitted from the UV lamp unit 500 are irradiated only at four edge portions of the panel DP. 510.

Here, the UV mask 510, the transparent glass 512; A frame-type glass holder 514 for supporting the glass; The mask film 513 is attached to the center portion of the glass 512 to shield the ultraviolet rays.

In addition, a mask guide 516 is further provided to accurately guide the attachment position of the mask film 513. The mask guide 516 is a bar-shaped member arranged in the X-axis and Y-axis. Each of them is configured to be slidably movable left and right, and is configured to variably adjust positions of corners adjacent to each other to indicate a position at which the mask film 513 is to be attached. Is provided.

According to the adhesive curing device for bonding the touch display panel according to the present invention as described above, it is possible to sequentially perform the curing of the adhesive material of the four edges of the panel and the entire adhesive material with one device, but the configuration is simple, Hardening width (dam width) can be formed uniformly and has the advantage of uniformly adjusting the degree of curing for each part.

2 is a schematic view showing a panel bonding method according to the present invention;
Figure 3 is a perspective view of the adhesive material curing apparatus for panel bonding according to the present invention,
Figure 4 is a partially enlarged view showing a UV mask of the adhesive curing device for panel bonding according to the present invention.

Hereinafter, an adhesive curing device for attaching a touch display panel according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, the panel (DP) to be described below is intended to include various types of panels, including OLED panels and PDPs, as well as LCD panels.

First, the adhesive material curing apparatus for bonding the touch display panel according to the present invention is an apparatus for curing the adhesive material applied to the panel DP using ultraviolet rays, and two operations are performed. First, before the panel and the touch assembly are bonded, edge curing is performed by selectively curing only the adhesive applied to the four edge portions of the panel in which the adhesive is applied to the entire upper surface of the panel in the adhesive applying device to form a kind of dam. By this edge hardening operation, the adhesive applied on the inside is prevented from flowing out, and in particular, the adhesive is not overflowed in the bonding process. Secondly, after the panel and the touch assembly are bonded together, temporary curing is performed to irradiate ultraviolet rays over the entire panel to cure the entire adhesive material. That is, two processes may be sequentially performed with one present curing apparatus.

3 is a perspective view of such an adhesive material curing apparatus according to the present invention. As shown, the adhesive material curing apparatus according to the present invention includes a UV lamp unit 500 and a UV mask 510.

The UV lamp unit 500 is disposed on the upper side of the panel (DP) coated with the adhesive material on the upper surface to irradiate ultraviolet rays downward, UV lamp (not shown) is mounted inside the outer casing 502, The ball screw 506 and the manual rotation knob 508 or the motor is configured to be lifted manually or automatically in a state supported by a separate bracket 504.

The UV lamp is always on, and a shutter (not shown) is provided to be configured to open and close as necessary to irradiate and block ultraviolet rays.

The UV mask 510 is disposed between the panel DP and the UV lamp unit 500 so that ultraviolet rays emitted from the UV lamp unit 500 are irradiated only at four edge portions of the panel DP. By shielding the portion, the glass 512 and the mask film 513 are included. The configuration of the UV mask 510 is shown in more detail in FIG. 4.

As shown in FIG. 4, the glass 512 is mounted on a glass holder 514 such as a picture frame, and transmits ultraviolet rays as it is as a transparent glass plate. The mask film 513 does not transmit ultraviolet rays as an opaque material and is attached to the center portion of the glass 512 by an adhesive material. Accordingly, ultraviolet rays are transmitted only at the four edge portions of the glass 512 to which the mask film 513 is not attached, and ultraviolet rays are only irradiated at the four edge portions of the panel DP positioned below the four edge portions. Only the adhesive material is cured. Here, the thickness of the edge portion to be cured is preferably about 1 to 1.2 mm.

When the UV curing size is changed, the size of the mask film 513 attached to the glass 512 may be changed. In this case, the mask guide 516 may be further provided to accurately guide the attachment position of the mask film 513. The mask guide 516 is a bar-shaped member arranged in the X-axis and the Y-axis, and is configured to be slidably moved from side to side by the LM guide so that the mask film 513 can be attached by variably adjusting the positions of adjacent edges. And to indicate a location. In addition, the mask guide 516 may be provided with a mask guide scale 518 so that the mask guide 516 may be moved to accurately indicate the position to which the mask film 513 is attached by moving the mask guide 516.

The UV mask 510 is positioned below the UV lamp unit 500 to cure only the adhesive material of the four edge portions of the panel before the panel and the touch assembly are joined, and after the UV mask 510 is exposed to the entire UV panel unit. It should be spaced away from the UV lamp unit 500 to be irradiated. To this end, the UV mask 510 is configured to be horizontally moved in and out of the area directly under the UV lamp unit 500 by a separate horizontal transfer means. Here, the horizontal transfer means may be used a variety of means such as a linear motor or a servo motor and a ball screw, a cylinder. In addition, the UV mask 510 may be configured to be moved up and down in the vertical direction, if necessary, such a lifting operation may also be performed by a servo motor, a ball screw or a cylinder.
