The present invention relates to a wireless communication technology, and more particularly, to a delay-based sequence retrieval method and apparatus, and a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving signals using the same.
The uplink channel of the communication system currently being discussed includes a random access channel (RACH) for random access to a base station, a channel quality indicator (CQI), and an uplink shared channel for transmitting ACK / NACK information For example, HS-DPCCH). Among them, the RACH is a random access channel where the UE performs downlink synchronization with the base station and can be found through the base station information. And the location of the corresponding channel can be known from the base station information, and the RACH is the only channel that the terminal can access in a state in which the base station is not synchronized with the base station. When the UE transmits a signal to the corresponding base station through the RACH, the base station informs the UE of the modification information on the uplink signal timing and various information for the corresponding UE to be connected to the base station in order to be synchronized with the base station itself. After the connection between the terminal and the base station is performed through the RACH, communication may be performed using other uplink channels.
1 and 2 are views illustrating an example of a process that occurs when a mobile station connects uplink communication with a base station.
By accessing the RACH, the UE can acquire both the uplink / downlink synchronization with the base station and can access the base station. FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating a state in which the UE is out of synchronization after synchronizing with an initial base station, or is required to request an uplink resource (I.e., when requesting a resource for uplink transmission data). First, in step (1) of FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the terminal transmits an access preamble to the base station and a message according to necessity. Accordingly, the base station grasps the purpose of accessing the RACH for the corresponding terminal and accordingly The corresponding process is taken. In the case of the initial access as shown in FIG. 1, the base station allocates timing information and uplink data resources to the corresponding terminal in steps (2) and (3), and thus the terminal transmits uplink data as in step (4). can do.
Meanwhile, in FIG. 2, for example, the reason why the UE accesses the RACH in step (1) is a scheduling request. For example, in step (2), the BS transmits timing information and SR to the UE. The base station performs uplink data resource allocation (step (4)) for the SR (step (3)) of the terminal accordingly, and the terminal performs uplink data transmission (step (5)). Do it.
In the case of FIG. 2, which is not an initial access in approaching the RACH, different signals may be used depending on whether the signal sent to the RACH is synchronized with the base station.
3 is a diagram showing a RACH signal structure used for synchronous connection and asynchronous connection.
In the case of synchronized access, after the UE performs synchronization with the base station, the UE performs RACH in a synchronized state (synchronization can be maintained through control information such as a downlink signal or a CQ pilot transmitted on the uplink) By accessing, the base station can easily recognize the signal included in the RACH. Since the synchronization is maintained, the terminal can use a longer sequence or transmit additional data as shown in the upper part of FIG. 3. On the other hand, in the case of non-synchronized access, when the terminal approaches the base station, and if the synchronization is not synchronized for some reason, the guard time as shown in the lower part of FIG. Must be set This protection time is set in consideration of the maximum round-trip delay that the terminal desires to receive in the base station.
In addition to the synchronous and asynchronous connections described above, the RACH must satisfy different requirements depending on the location in the cell of the UE.
FIG. 4 is a diagram for explaining a condition required differently according to a location in a cell of a UE.
4 shows the edge of the cell supported by the base station as R3, the UE in this R3 area as UE3, the area in the middle of the cell as R2, and the UE in this R2 area as UE2 and near the base station. Each case is described with an example of an area present in R1 and a UE in this R1 area as UE1. Figure 4 shows the path loss (Loss) of these UE1, UE2 and UE3 as L p 1 , L p 2 , L p 3 , respectively, and round trip delay (RTD) 2t d 1 , 2t d 2 , 2t d 3 . Here, 2t d 1 , 2t d 2 , and 2t d 3 indicate that the round trip delay is two times the delay t d 1 , t d 2 , and t d 3 , respectively, required for one-way transmission. Usually there is a path loss in the order of distances L p 1 <L p 2 <L p 3 , and the round trip delay is also 2t d 1 <2t d 2 ≪ 2t d 3 . Thus, the cells in the UE1, UE2, each of the guard interval required in accordance with the position of UE3 length G d 1, G d 2, G d 3 is the G d 1 <G d 2 <
For a method for performing efficient communication by differently defining a length / width of a RACH and a sequence used to perform an efficient RACH communication satisfying different conditions required for an RACH according to a location in a cell of the UE as described above. "Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving signals in a communication system, and a channel structure used therein" (patent application No. 2006-74764), which is invented by the inventor and filed by the present applicant, and incorporated herein by reference, "Split connection. Random access channel, sequence and signal transmission method and apparatus using the same "(Patent Application No. 2006-92835).
In addition, the reason for connecting to the RACH is different depending on the location of the UE in the cell described above, and the method of changing the allocation of the RACH sequence used in each region in the cell according to the relationship with the sequence used in the neighboring cell is described. "Sequence set for random access channel, a method for defining thereof, and a signal transmission method and apparatus using the sequence set", which are invented by the inventor and filed by the present applicant, and incorporated herein by reference (Patent Application No. 2006-87290) ) And "Sequence Assignment Method and Method and Apparatus for Signal Transmission Using Sequence Assigned By It" (Patent Application No. 2006-92836).
In the case of using the above-described methods, the RACH connection can be efficiently performed by utilizing resources according to the location of the UE in the cell. When the sequence allocation is different for each region, the probability of collision in the RACH generated by using the same sequence is reduced. In this case, more random access opportunities of each UE can be obtained.
However, when the type of sequence used for the RACH is diversified, the base station is forced to have more burden in searching for the sequence used for the RACH. In addition, when all the information delivered to the base station is transmitted through a sequence applied to the RACH, the type of sequence used for the RACH may be more diversified, which may also involve a decrease in the number of available sequences. Therefore, there is a need for a method of reducing the burden on the base station in searching for a sequence to be used for the RACH, and indicating information to be transmitted to the base station by methods other than the type of sequence.
In order to solve the above problems, an object of the present invention is to select a search target sequence set in consideration of the delay time of a received signal when a base station searches for a sequence used in a RACH, and receives the received sequence using the selected sequence set. The present invention provides a method and apparatus for reducing a burden in sequence search of a base station by searching for which sequence is used for a RACH, and a method for transmitting and receiving signals using the same.
In addition, as a means of indicating information to be transmitted to the base station, the UE inserts artificial delay information into the transmission signal, and the base station receiving the received information to obtain the corresponding information through the delay degree of the received signal to reduce the sequence dependency of the information delivery in the RACH And to provide an apparatus.
Signal reception method according to an embodiment of the present invention for solving the above object comprises the steps of transmitting a downlink signal; Receiving a signal from a user equipment in response to the downlink signal transmission; And retrieving a sequence used for the received signal, wherein the sequence retrieval step differs a search target of the sequence used for the received signal in consideration of a delay time of the received signal. do.
In this case, the delay time may be a round trip delay time from the downlink signal transmission time to the start time of the sequence used for the signal received from the user equipment, and the sequence used for the received signal is divided into a predetermined region. The sequence may be a sequence selected from a sequence set differently allocated according to the position of each region in the cell.
Also, in the above embodiment, selecting the search target sequence set according to which section of the sections in which the start time of the sequence used for the received signal is included in the time axis is divided into predetermined section intervals; And searching for a sequence used for the received signal among the search target sequence sets, wherein sections in which the time axis is divided into predetermined section intervals are used for signals received from user devices located in respective regions within the cell. The search target sequence set may be the same as a sequence set allocated to an area within a cell where the user equipment that has transmitted the received signal is located.
Meanwhile, the sequence retrieval method according to another embodiment of the present invention selects a sequence to be searched according to which of the sections in which the start time of the sequence used for the received signal is included in the time axis divided into predetermined intervals. step; And searching for a sequence used for the received signal among the search target sequence sets, wherein sections in which the time axis is divided into predetermined section intervals are received from a user device located in each region in a cell divided into predetermined regions. In the following description, the same components are denoted by the same reference numerals throughout the specification.
The present invention is an efficient sequence by noting that the signal transmitted to the RACH is transmitted with different delay information according to the location of the UE among the different requirements according to the location in the cell of the UE as described in FIG. A search method and a signal reception method are proposed. That is, according to the position of the UE, the signal is transmitted away from a reference timing corresponding to the downlink signal transmission time of the base station by a round trip delay corresponding thereto. Therefore, when the cell size increases, the signal spreading section becomes long. This delay information can be easily used for sequence detection at the receiving end, and can provide an additional RACH access opportunity to the UE.
In addition, the delay time for the signal detected in the conventional RACH is used only as the information for timing detection for the UE, there is a way to deliver more additional information. In other words, if another analysis is performed on the signal delay, a better characteristic can be obtained.
This aspect will be described below with reference to the drawings.
5 is a diagram illustrating a round trip delay time of an RACH signal received at a base station.
As shown in FIG. 5, when the time point for transmitting the downlink signal of the base station is set as the reference time point, the RACH signal transmitted by the cell center UE in response to the downlink signal of the base station has a short round trip delay time. In contrast, the RACH signal transmitted by the cell edge UE in response to the downlink signal of the base station has a relatively long round trip delay time. Therefore, in the outer UE and the inner UE in the cell, the signal at the receiving end is shown as the delay time. As described above, since the difference in the round trip delay time depending on which area of the cell is located in the cell is generally larger as the cell size increases, in one embodiment of the present invention, the receiver may detect the RACH signal. In this paper, we propose a method to reduce the search time by setting the sequence set to be searched based on the delay time. Here, the delay time refers to a round trip delay time until the base station receives the RACH signal from the corresponding UE in response to the downlink transmission time of the base station, in response to the downlink signal of the base station. It increases with distance.
In particular, as described above, when the sequence to be used is determined according to which region in the cell of the UE, as disclosed in the patent document included in the present specification, when the RACH signal as shown in FIG. 5 arrives, specifically, It is possible to perform a search using only the sequence set allocated for use in each region as a search target sequence based on the start time of the sequence used for the RACH. This method will be described with reference to FIG. 6.
FIG. 6 is a diagram for describing a method of changing a sequence set to be searched according to a delay time of an RACH signal received at a base station according to one embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 6 illustrates a sequence search method according to an embodiment of the present invention, for example, in which a cell is divided into two regions of a cell center and a cell boundary. If the delay time at the reference time position is smaller than the predetermined threshold ta, it is a delay time that only the transmission signal of the UE existing in the cell center can have, and thus it is not necessary to search for the sequence used by the cell boundary UE. On the other hand, if the delay time is larger than the other predetermined threshold tb, the transmission signal of the cell center UE cannot have the delay time. Thus, only the sequence used by the cell boundary UEs is searched. FIG. 6 is a
However, if the UE is close to the boundary where it has distinguished the cell center and the cell boundary, in many cases it will be irregularly positioned between the cell center and the cell boundary, unless the UE can accurately determine its location. The sequence used may also be used with a mixture of both regions. Therefore, when the delay time of the received signal is near the maximum round trip delay time of the intra-cell UE, that is, the area that only the signal of the intra-cell UE can have (ta sub-area) and the area that only the signal of the cell boundary UE can have If not (ta or more region) (ta ≤ RTD ≤ tb), it is preferable to search all sequence sets. However, since the number of sequences to be searched for each delay time can be reduced as a whole, it can be seen that the base station can significantly reduce the complexity of the calculation.
By using the sequence retrieval method as shown in FIG. 6, it may have other advantages in addition to reducing the complexity of the calculation of the base station as described above. For example, it is not a problem to use different zero-correlation zones (ZCZ) for sequences used at cell centers and cell boundaries.
In general, a CAZAC sequence is a typical sequence used for the RACH, and the number of available CAZAC sequences is the number of mother sequences according to the ID of the CAZAC sequence and ZCZ, which can be transformed by applying a cyclic shift to the CAZAC sequence. It is equivalent to the product of the number of. ZCZ preferably has a gap that can be distinguished at the receiving end even if the cyclic shift is applied in the CAZAC sequence. Since the ambiguity of the cyclic shift applied to the sequence at the receiving end may be caused by delay spreading, the effects of delay spreading and the like. It is preferable to use a sequence having a short ZCZ length for this small cell center UE and a sequence having a long ZCZ length for a cell boundary UE.
Based on this, as shown in FIG. 6, ZCZ searches for only a corresponding sequence set by dividing a transmission signal of a cell center UE and a transmission signal of a cell boundary UE according to a delay time of a received RACH signal. Using other sequences also reduces the ambiguity of the distinction. In particular, when the original sequence used in the search target sequence set 2 and the original sequence used in the search target sequence set 1 are different from each other, even though they have different ZCZ intervals, the base station detects the detected delay time when the base station detects them. Since ambiguity does not occur when different intervals of ZCZ in different original sequences are detected, it may be more desirable.
As described above, the physical delay phenomenon occurs according to the distance between the UE and the base station. However, one embodiment of the present invention proposes to attach an artificial delay time to this. Artificial delay is a method of inserting an additional delay to distinguish the transmission time of the signal from the physical delay time according to the information to be transmitted to the base station. This manner is described with reference to FIG. 7 below.
FIG. 7 is a diagram for describing a method of inserting artificial delay information into a transmission signal in a UE according to one embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 7 illustrates that when a physical delay time is a round trip delay time + delay spread in a given cell size, an artificial delay time corresponding to the size of each section (
In case of inserting an artificial delay as shown in FIG. 7, the transmission start region of each preamble becomes a RACH preamble transmission position that is predefined to match the information defined at the corresponding position. That is, when each time interval of FIG. 7 is interpreted as CQ information, the UE calculates downlink CQ information and transmits a RACH signal to a corresponding preamble transmission start position. This eliminates the need for additional sequences to send CQIs, resulting in increased overall sequence reuse. The information that can be transmitted based on the delayed position may be CQ information, RACH connection reason information, arbitrary ID information, or the like.
On the other hand, when using the same source index sequence in each region (
Meanwhile, in an embodiment of the present invention, the sequence search method as shown in FIG. 6 may be performed while transmitting information by the method shown in FIG. 7.
FIG. 8 is a diagram for describing a method of interpreting information based on a delay time and an artificial delay time according to a position of a UE transmitting a RACH signal received at a base station according to an embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 8 illustrates a case in which a time section for artificial delay is set above a maximum round trip delay time that can be physically generated to distinguish a physical time delay. That is, according to the information to be transmitted, the RACH signal from the UE located in the cell boundary located at the cell boundary selected as the
The base station may select a search target sequence set according to the delay time of the received signal in each section of FIG. 8. For example, in FIG. 8, the search is performed by setting only the sequence set having the ZCZ i of the original sequence, sequence a, as a search target sequence set until a predetermined time in
Meanwhile, the UE selects and transmits a section for transmitting the RACH signal as an artificial delay according to information transmitted to the base station. Accordingly, the base station interprets the information to be transmitted according to which section the start time of the sequence used for the received RACH signal is. At this time, as described above, it is preferable to use the original sequence differently in each section in order to reduce the ambiguity of division, and FIG. 8 illustrates the use of a sequence b which is a different original sequence in
In order to perform the above-described sequence search and signal transmission / reception method, a device configuration as described below is required. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the base station may transmit a downlink signal through the
The information (ts, tr) of each of the above-described
Meanwhile, in another embodiment of the present invention, the degree of delay confirmed through the viewpoint information of the
A feature configuration of a signal transmission apparatus of a UE according to an embodiment of the present invention corresponding to the signal reception apparatus as described above will be described below.
10 is a block diagram showing a feature configuration of a signal transmission apparatus of a UE for inserting and transmitting artificial delay information into an RACH signal according to an embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 10, the signal transmission apparatus according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention may include a
First, the
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The foregoing description of the preferred embodiments of the present invention has been presented for those skilled in the art to make and use the invention. Although the above has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, those skilled in the art will variously modify and change the present invention without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the claims below. Accordingly, the present invention is not intended to be limited to the embodiments shown herein but is to be accorded the widest scope consistent with the principles and novel features disclosed herein.
According to one embodiment of the present invention as described above, when the base station searches for a sequence used for the RACH, the target sequence set is selected in consideration of the delay time of the received signal, and used for the received RACH using the selected sequence set. It is possible to reduce the burden on the sequence search of the base station by searching for which sequence is a given sequence.
In addition, as a means of indicating information to be transmitted to the base station, the UE inserts artificial delay information into the transmission signal, and the base station receiving the received information is obtained through the delay degree of the received signal, thereby reducing the sequence dependency of the information transmission in the RACH It can have
