Description
The present invention relates to a method for producing a composite roller made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) used in the manufacturing line (process), and more particularly, by performing dry plating by physical vapor deposition in a vacuum chamber, By shortening a series of processes, minimizing waste that is harmful to the environment, eco-friendliness and manufacturing cost can be efficiently reduced to improve overall productivity, and an excellent plating layer free of pinholes and cracks can be obtained. The present invention relates to a method for producing a metal-plated roller made of carbon fiber-reinforced plastics, which provides a roller that is low in strength and excellent in wear resistance, and a roller according thereto.
Until now, the conveying rollers used in the manufacturing process of film, paper, foil, vinyl, etc. were mostly metal bodies such as steel, aluminum alloy, and the like. However, metal rollers are heavy in weight and, above all, have large moments of inertia, which make them difficult to respond to in-process objects such as film, paper, foil, and vinyl. There are drawbacks such as requiring a long time.
As is well known, in order to solve the problems caused by the above-mentioned metal roller, a composite roller (CFRP) using carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), which is lighter, lower inertia, and higher inelasticity (stiffness) than metal, has been recently developed. The roller is used to increase the surface hardness by metal plating on the surface) has been developed and widely used in the industry. Carbon fiber has the same tensile strength as high tensile steel depending on the fiber direction, and has a higher stiffness than titanium, but has a specific gravity of about 60% of aluminum and is light and high in strength. That is, the use of the composite roller not only enables a large speed-up in the process of film, paper, foil, vinyl, etc., but also improves the quality of the product as a whole. In addition, as the effects and usefulness of such composite rollers are generally recognized, there are a growing number of cases in which composite rollers are applied to large rollers. However, since the smoothness and high durability are required for such a composite roller, a plating layer is inevitably required on the outer circumferential surface.
Here, the conventional composite roller was formed through the electrolytic copper plating and the electrolytic chromium plating by the wet method sequentially to form a plating layer. That is, the wet method is a copper plating solution containing copper sulfate pentahydrate, sulfuric acid, stabilizer, etc., and a chromium plating solution containing chromium sulfate hydrate, sodium citrate dihydrate, hypophosphoric monohydrate and the like by the principle of reduction and oxidation by electrolysis. The rollers were immersed sequentially to form a chromium layer.
However, due to the electrolytic wet plating in the electrolytic cell, due to the chromium layer in which defects such as pin holes and micro cracks are generated, the rollers have large weight, inertia, friction, and stiffness and wear resistance. There is a serious problem that is produced to cause shortened sleep. In particular, the waste harmful to the environment due to the plating solution is increased, not only to cause serious environmental pollution, but also a complicated process in the manufacturing process, the plating solution and the resulting treatment costs are increased, there is a disadvantage that reduces the overall productivity.
Accordingly, the present invention is to fundamentally solve the conventional problems as described above, by performing the dry plating by physical vapor deposition in the vacuum chamber, shortening a series of processes in manufacturing to minimize waste harmful to the environment In addition, it reduces the manufacturing cost efficiently and improves the overall productivity, and obtains excellent plating layer without pinholes and cracks in the product, so that carbon fiber reinforcement provides rollers with excellent rigidity and wear resistance with low weight, inertia and friction. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method of manufacturing a metal-plated roller made of plastic and a roller accordingly.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a method of manufacturing a feed roller made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) used in a manufacturing line (process): preparing a cylindrical core and a shaft, and the shaft at both ends of the core A material preparation process of combining and forming rollers; A conductive treatment step of polishing and grinding the outer circumferential surface of the prepared roller, and applying and curing the conductive resin to form an underlayer; An electroplating process of immersing the conductive roller in a plating solution to form a plating layer; A deposition plating process of inserting the plated roller into a vacuum chamber to form a chromium layer by physical vapor deposition; And a post-treatment step of finishing the surface of the deposited roller by super finishing. The deposition plating process includes argon gas in a vacuum chamber and releases chromium by plasma discharge to the surface of the plating layer with a bias voltage. First, according to the present invention, a
When the preparation of the
In addition, according to the present invention, the outer circumferential surface of the prepared
In addition, according to the present invention is subjected to the electroplating process (S30) of forming the
Further, according to the present invention, the plated
At this time, the deposition plating process (S40) according to the present invention before the formation of the
In the first embodiment step of the present invention, the deposition plating process (S40) is a chromium layer on the surface of the
In addition, as a second exemplary embodiment of the present invention, in the deposition plating process S40, argon gas (Ar) is introduced into the
In addition, as a third embodiment step of the present invention, the deposition plating process (S40) is the argon gas (Ar) in the
At this time, the deposition plating process (S40) according to the present invention to form a
Here, nitrogen (N2) and methane (CH4) may be added together with argon gas (Ar) introduced in the sputtering deposition step (S46) and the arc ion plating step (S48). That is, when nitrogen (N2) and methane (CH4) gas are introduced in the sputtering deposition step (S46) and the arc ion plating step (S48), a harder and more robust chromium nitride (CrN)
In addition, according to the present invention is subjected to a post-treatment step (S50) of finishing the surface by the super finishing of the deposited roller (10). The
According to another aspect of the present invention, the
As described above, the present invention performs dry plating by physical vapor deposition in a vacuum chamber, thereby minimizing waste that is harmful to the environment by shortening a series of processes in manufacturing, thereby effectively reducing manufacturing costs and improving overall productivity by improving overall productivity. In addition, it is possible to obtain an excellent plating layer free from pinholes and cracks in the product, thereby providing a roller having excellent rigidity and wear resistance with low weight, inertia and friction.
