Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a composite conductive substrate and a method for manufacturing the same, and more particularly, to a composite conductive substrate having a carbon nanotube layer and a metal structure of the network structure as a composite conductive thin film and a method for manufacturing the same.
The conductive thin film including carbon nanotubes may be coated on a substrate by substituting hydrophilic functional groups on the carbon nanotubes or forming a water-dispersible carbon nanotube solution using an aqueous surfactant, or using carbon nanotubes using an organic solvent. It is formed by a method of dispersing the coating. The conductive substrate on which the conductive thin film is formed is widely used in various fields such as a transparent electrode, a surface heating element, an electrostatic control and absorbent, an electromagnetic shielding film, a heat radiation material, a transistor, a sensor, and the like.
Although the above-described methods can obtain a conductive thin film by a relatively simple method, it is difficult to be applied to various products due to low electrical conductivity.
Existing conventional techniques for solving this problem, a method for improving the physical properties of the conductive thin film by replacing a functional group on the carbon nanotubes, a method for adding a specific material that can improve the conductivity to the carbon nanotube dispersion solution, carbon nano After forming the tube layer, there is a method of controlling the electronic structure of carbon nanotubes by post-treatment coating with a specific material.
The above-described methods have the following characteristics according to their respective methods.
The method of substituting functional groups on carbon nanotubes can secure the physical properties of conductive thin films by inducing chemical / physical bonds between carbon nanotubes and between substrates and carbon nanotubes by substituting specific functional groups for carbon nanotubes by chemical methods. . However, this method may cause a problem of reducing the conductivity of the carbon nanotubes in the process of introducing functional groups into the carbon nanotubes, and the environmental stability is still weak because the carbon nanotubes are exposed to the outside air.
In the case of adding a specific chemical that can improve conductivity to the carbon nanotube dispersion solution, it may be difficult to maintain the dispersibility of the carbon nanotube dispersion solution, and the problem of light transmittance and haze generation due to the thin film remaining of the additive material may be difficult. It can be followed and the effect of improving conductivity is not great.
In addition, a method of improving the conductivity of the conductive film by post-treatment coating is mainly a method of applying a dopant material capable of doping carbon nanotubes on a thin film of carbon nanotubes. This method can greatly improve the conductivity of carbon nanotubes, but the environmental stability is weak, so the resistance characteristics vary with time.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a composite conductive substrate and a method of manufacturing the same that can improve the electrical conductivity of a conductive thin film formed using carbon nanotubes.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention comprises the steps of preparing a substrate, forming a metal thin film on the substrate, dispersing carbon nanotubes on the metal thin film to form a carbon nanotube layer of a network structure, And partially removing the metal thin film through wet etching to partially leave the metal structure of the metal thin film component under the carbon nanotube layer.
In the method of manufacturing a composite conductive substrate according to the present invention, the substrate may be transparent.
In the method of manufacturing a composite conductive substrate according to the present invention, in the forming of the metal thin film, the material of the metal thin film is silver, gold, nickel, copper, aluminum, iron, titanium, chromium, zinc, manganese, cobalt or Alloys of these may be used. The metal thin film may be formed to a thickness of 5 ~ 50nm.
In the method of manufacturing a composite conductive substrate according to the present invention, in the remaining of the metal structure, the metal structure may be relatively distributed in a portion where the carbon nanotubes forming the carbon nanotube layer overlap.
The present invention also provides a composite conductive substrate comprising a substrate and a composite conductive thin film. In this case, the composite conductive thin film includes a carbon nanotube layer and a metal structure. The carbon nanotube layer is formed in a network structure by dispersing carbon nanotubes on the substrate. The metal structure is interposed between the substrate and the carbon nanotube layer and is discontinuously positioned under the carbon nanotubes forming the carbon nanotube layer.
In the composite conductive substrate according to the present invention, the metal structure may be relatively distributed in a portion where the carbon nanotubes forming the carbon nanotube layer overlap.
In the composite conductive substrate according to the present invention, the metal structure is made of silver, gold, nickel, copper, aluminum, iron, titanium, chromium, zinc, manganese, cobalt or an alloy thereof, and has a thickness of 5 to 50 nm on the substrate. It may be formed in a thickness.
In the composite conductive substrate according to the present invention, a transparent material having light transmittance may be used as the material of the substrate.
Since the composite conductive substrate according to the present invention includes a composite conductive thin film having a structure in which a metal structure is interposed between a carbon nanotube layer formed of a network structure and a transparent substrate, the composite using a carbon nanotube while maintaining transparency of the composite conductive substrate The electrical conductivity of the conductive thin film can be improved.
That is, the composite conductive thin film forms a metal thin film on a transparent substrate, forms a carbon nanotube layer of a network structure thereon, and then partially removes the metal thin film by wet etching to partially retain the metal structure under the carbon nanotube layer. Since it is formed in the structure, it is possible to improve the electrical conductivity of the composite conductive thin film using carbon nanotubes while maintaining the transparency of the composite conductive substrate.
The reason why the electrical conductivity is improved is that the composite conductive thin film maintains the contact state between the carbon nanotubes forming the carbon nanotube layer, while the metal structure is located under the carbon nanotube layer. This is because the conductivity is added to the carbon nanotube layer, resulting in a resistance reduction effect of the composite conductive thin film.

1 is a perspective view showing a composite conductive substrate according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 1, the composite
Referring to the composite
As a material of the
주로 많이 사용되는 분산제로는 sodium dodecylbenzenesulfate(SDBS), sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS), lithium dedecyl sulfate(LDS), dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid (DBSA), cetytrimethyl ammonium-bromide(CTAB), Dodecyl trimethyl ammonium-bromide(DTAB), polysaccharide, poly(vinyl pyrrolidone(PVP), Triton X-series, Brij-series, Tween-series, poly(acrylic acid), Polyvinyl alcohol, NMP 등이 있다.The
The carbon nanotube dispersion may be coated on the
As described above, the composite
A method of manufacturing the composite
First, as shown in FIG. 3, the
Next, as shown in Figure 4, in step S51 to form a metal
Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 5, in operation S53, the
5 and 6, by etching and removing portions of the metal
At this time, since the
At this time, the etchant used for etching is different depending on the type of metal used and is mainly composed of an acidic or basic substance. As an etching method, a method of dropping a metal etchant on the
The reason for forming the metal
However, when the thickness a of the metal
Therefore, in consideration of the improvement of the electrical conductivity due to the
As described above, the composite conductive
The reason why the electrical conductivity is improved is that the composite conductive
On the other hand, a method of forming a composite conductive thin film by coating a composite material mixed with carbon nanotubes and metal particles on a substrate may be considered. It is not preferable because the effect of improving electrical conductivity tends to be insignificant or rather reduced.
Thus, the composite
Referring to FIG. 6, when looking at the surface of the conductive substrate according to the comparative example, it can be seen that the carbon nanotubes form a network structure, form a porous conductive thin film, and the substrate is exposed between the carbon nanotube layers.
Referring to FIG. 7, in the composite conductive substrate according to the present embodiment, the metal thin film is exposed to the outside air between the carbon nanotubes forming the carbon nanotube layer, and the exposed portion is easily visualized during etching through a solution process. On the other hand, the metal structure under the carbon nanotube layer may remain on the substrate when the etching rate is properly adjusted. The remaining metal structure is formed of particles of various shapes and contributes to the improvement of the electrical conductivity of the composite conductive film.
The results of measuring the transmittance and sheet resistance of the composite conductive substrate according to the embodiment of the present invention and the conductive substrate according to the comparative example are as shown in the graphs of FIGS. 8 to 12. 8 to 12 are graphs comparing the transmittance and sheet resistance characteristics of the composite conductive substrate according to the embodiment of the present invention and the conductive substrate according to the comparative example.
In order to distinguish the composite conductive substrate according to the embodiment of the present invention of FIGS. 8 to 12, starting from FIG. 8, the examples are divided into Examples 1 to 5. In the same manner, the conductive substrate according to the comparative example was also divided into Comparative Examples 1 to 5 starting with FIG. 8.
8 to 11, a glass substrate was used as a substrate, and in FIG. 12, a PET substrate was used. Silver (Ag) was used as a raw material of the metal structure.
Composite conductive substrates according to Examples 1 to 5 were prepared as follows.
Silver (Ag) is coated on the substrate to form a silver thin film.
Next, a carbon nanotube dispersion is prepared by dispersing carbon nanotubes using an SDBS dispersant as a dispersant.
Subsequently, the carbon nanotube dispersion is coated on a silver-coated substrate to form a carbon nanotube layer.
Then, a silver conductive solution was applied to the substrate on which the carbon nanotube layer and the silver thin film were formed to prepare a composite conductive substrate having the composite conductive thin film according to the present embodiment. In this case, as the etchant (type TFS), Transene company, INC. Although a product was used, it is not limited to this. The silver etchant was diluted with 40 to 50% using distilled water. As an etching method, a silver etching solution was dropped on the substrate while rotating the substrate coated with the carbon nanotube layer on the silver thin film with a spin coater. The etching rate was controlled by controlling the concentration of the etchant.
For example, the concentration of the etchant was adjusted with distilled water to control the etching rate according to the thickness of the silver thin film. When the thickness of the silver thin film was 10 nm or less, 40% diluted etchant was used. When the thickness of the silver thin film was 20 nm or more, 50% diluted etchant was used.
Etching was performed by placing a substrate on which a carbon nanotube layer was formed on a silver thin film on a spin coater, and dropping the diluted etchant onto the substrate, followed by spin coating at a speed of 1500 rpm for 60 seconds. Thereafter, the resultant was immediately washed with distilled water to remove residual etchant.
On the other hand, in order to compare the electrical conductivity of the composite conductive thin film according to Examples 1 to 5, a carbon nanotube conductive film is formed by coating a carbon nanotube dispersion under the same conditions by preparing a PET and a glass substrate is not coated with a silver thin film The conductive substrates according to Comparative Examples 1 to 5 were prepared.
The transmittance and sheet resistance of the composite conductive thin films of Examples 1 to 5 and the conductive thin films (carbon nanotube layers) of Comparative Examples 1 to 5 were measured.
As a result, as shown in Figures 8 to 12, the composite conductive thin film according to Examples 1 to 5 was measured to have a low sheet resistance compared to the conductive thin film according to Comparative Examples 1 to 5, the same carbon nanotube layer forming process Considering this, it can be seen that the electrical conductivity is greatly improved.
Although this tendency varies according to the thickness of the silver thin film, the surface resistance decreases when the thickness of the silver thin film is 10 to 50 nm, and the resistance reduction rate is the largest when the thickness of the silver thin film is 20 to 30 nm. You can see it appear.
