Description
This invention relates to the apparatus which supplies a molten glass to the float bath of a float glass manufacturing apparatus.
Float glass transfers the molten glass manufactured in the molten glass manufacturing area to the molten glass supply part of a float glass manufacturing apparatus, and supplies the molten glass conveyed to the said molten glass supply part onto the molten tin of a float bath, molded into a ribbon). As a conveying apparatus of this molten glass, the trough-shaped molten glass flow path of which the upper part is open is generally used, but in
As shown in FIG. 4, the molten glass feeder includes a
In this molten glass conveying apparatus, since molten glass is conveyed to a molten glass supply part via a supply pipe, it can avoid that molten glass contacts with surrounding air at the time of conveyance. Thereby, the radiation dissipation of the heat of the molten glass with a high molding temperature like the glass substrate for LCD is prevented, and in the glass composition containing the component which is easy to evaporate, for example, evaporation of such a component is prevented. It can prevent, and can keep a molten glass in the temperature, composition, and extremely uniform state, and supply it to a float bath, and high quality glass products can be obtained.
According to the said molten glass conveying method, since molten glass is conveyed to a molten glass supply part via a supply pipe, as mentioned above, contact with surrounding air and the evaporation of a glass component can be prevented during the conveyance of molten glass, Moreover, the outstanding effect, such as being able to supply the molten glass conveyed uniformly from the flat opening of the funnel shape expansion part uniformly, is acquired.
However, in the method of
Therefore, in the method of
Moreover, in the supply pipe arrange | positioned horizontally in this way, since a molten glass flows in a horizontal direction and there is considerable viscosity, when a bubble (gas) generate | occur | produces in the molten glass in flow, the said bubble (gas) is supplied to a supply pipe. It becomes difficult to guide | induce to the top end of and to make it float in the surface layer of molten glass, and to make it discharge.
This invention is made | formed in view of the said point, and arrange | positions the said supply pipe so that it may have an incline toward a molten-glass supply part, and connects the upstream end part of a supply pipe to the comparatively lower part of a molten-glass production area, and favorable melting of a lower layer part is possible. While allowing the glass to be taken out and transferring the taken out molten glass from the molten glass manufacturing region to the molten glass supply section through the supply pipe, bubbles mixed in the molten glass are supplied using the ascending slope of the supply pipe. It aims at providing the molten glass supply apparatus which can be moved to the top end side of and removes, and can supply the favorable molten glass which does not contain a bubble to the shaping part of a float glass.
This invention is an improvement of the molten-glass supply apparatus which transfers a molten glass from a molten-glass production area | region to a molten-glass supply part of a float glass manufacturing apparatus via a supply pipe, and it makes a predetermined angle toward the opening part of a front end part downstream of the said supply pipe. The object is achieved by forming a fan-shaped part which unfolds in the left-right direction and whose cross-sectional shape gradually becomes flat, and inclines the fan-shaped part upward toward the molten glass supply part.
That is, this invention provides the supply apparatus of the molten glass shown below.

According to the present invention, since the molten glass is conveyed through the supply pipe to the molten glass supply unit of the float glass manufacturing apparatus in the molten glass manufacturing region, similarly to the conventional molten glass supply apparatus which transports the molten glass through the supply pipe, Since the molten glass can be kept in an airtight state having no free surface, the molten glass can be prevented from contacting the surrounding air to cool down or vaporize the glass component that tends to evaporate, thereby making the molten glass temperature and crude. It can be supplied in a sexually uniform state.
Further, on the downstream side of the supply pipe, a fan-shaped portion is formed at an angle toward the opening of the tip portion at a predetermined angle, and its cross-sectional shape is gradually flattened, and the fan-shaped portion is inclined upwardly toward the opening. It is possible to connect the upstream end of the pipe to the relatively lower portion of the molten glass preparation region by this inclination, whereby a good molten glass having a low mixing ratio such as bubbles in the lower layer portion can be taken out from the molten glass preparation region.
In addition, while transferring the taken out molten glass from the molten glass preparation area | region to the molten glass supply part through the said supply pipe, while raising the bubble (gas) which generate | occur | produced in the molten glass and mixed upward by buoyancy, the fan-shaped part rises Since the molten glass flowing in the inclined portion can be effectively discharged to the downstream side, bubbles can be prevented from remaining in the fan-shaped portion. In general, since the viscosity of the molten glass supplied to the float bath is as high as about 10 3.5 to 10 4 dPa? S, it becomes a resistance when bubbles rise, but according to the present invention, since the fan-shaped portion has an upward slope, By adding the buoyant force acting and the flow in the inclined direction of the molten glass, bubbles can be efficiently induced to the top end side of the fan-shaped part, and these bubbles are floated to the surface layer of the molten glass at the downstream end of the fan-shaped part. May be released prior to introduction into the float bath.
Moreover, molten glass can be kept constant at predetermined temperature by energizing a supply pipe and heating.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS It is sectional explanatory drawing of the molten glass supply apparatus which concerns on one Embodiment of this invention, and FIG. 2 is a top view of the supply pipe of the said molten glass supply apparatus. As shown in FIG. 1, the molten glass obtained in the molten glass forming region 6 is supplied from the molten glass forming region 6 to the molten
In the present invention, the molten glass preparation region 6 is a generic term for the locations for clarifying and cooling the molten glass obtained by dissolving and dissolving the glass raw material, but the molten glass is taken out as described above. In this invention, the opening
In such a molten glass supply apparatus, since the molten
In this invention, the upstream side of the
The
When the said
In the fan-shaped
Moreover, it is preferable to provide the horizontal
In the molten
Next, the ascending inclination angle of the fan-shaped
In the present invention, the inclination angle θ 1 of the
On the other hand, the enlargement angle (theta) 2 of the fan-shaped
In this invention, as a material of the
In addition, although not shown, it is preferable that the introduction pipe part and / or fan-shaped part of the
In this invention, the twill 8 is provided in the molten
When the twill 8 is installed opposite the
In one embodiment of the present invention, the twill 8 can be formed by coating a main part made of a heat-resistant member such as silica glass ceramic (fused silica) with platinum or a platinum alloy. And the molten glass conveyed through the molten-
As mentioned above, although one Embodiment of this invention was described, this invention is not limited to this. 3 is a schematic longitudinal cross-sectional view showing another embodiment of the fan-shaped
