Description
The present invention relates to a tubular knitted fabric and a composite hollow fiber membrane using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to hollow fiber membranes widely applied in the field of water treatment, and more particularly, to a composite hollow fiber membrane having improved mechanical strength by using a support.
In general, it is well known that water treatment using a separator is a purification technique using a selective permeation mechanism of a material. At this time, the water treatment using the membrane, that is, the separation of contaminated water is more economical in terms of energy saving, facility simplification, and operation efficiency than the distillation method used in the conventional chemical treatment, and simple laboratory scale according to social needs such as environmental protection. To the scale of various industrial fields, a wide range of research and practical use has been conducted.
The separation membranes are morphologically flat sheet membrane, tubular membrane, hollow fiber membrane, etc. The flat membrane has high pollution resistance and is widely applied as a treatment technology for sewage and wastewater. However, it is difficult to economically install due to the low degree of integration per unit volume. Hollow fiber membranes are morphologically shaped to seal yarns and can pack a lot of membranes per unit volume, thereby increasing throughput. Therefore, since the hollow fiber membrane has the advantage that the membrane surface area is large and easy to modularize, compared to other membranes of the same volume, the application thereof has been actively progressed around the ultrafiltration membrane recently.
However, hollow fiber membranes are often easily cut off during operation due to their low mechanical strength. In particular, in the water treatment field, these disadvantages act as a deterrent to securing high quality water. In accordance with the demand for improving the mechanical strength of such hollow fiber membranes, a composite hollow fiber membrane has been proposed in which hollow fiber membranes are manufactured using a fabric or tubular fabric having excellent mechanical strength.
Composite hollow fiber membranes used as separators must exhibit excellent permeation performance while exhibiting excellent mechanical strength. Recently, composite hollow fiber membranes have been applied to water treatment processes in the form of submerged modules, and these submerged modules consist of essential processes that require aeration through aeration, and in order to minimize membrane contamination, It's working. In this case, friction and physical shocks between the hollow fiber membranes due to the aeration and repeated repetition of operation and rest may cause the membrane to detach from the support and self peeling at the interface between the module and the membrane. It is required to secure stability. That is, high peel strength is calculated | required so that the surface of a hollow fiber membrane may peel off and a defect may not arise.
In this regard, the prior art proposes a variety of composite hollow fiber membranes, but in order to apply the hollow fiber membranes to various water treatment applications, various techniques such as excellent permeability, excellent mechanical strength, high peel strength, low dope penetration, and high stiffness are required. Characteristics are required.
One problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a tubular knitted fabric having excellent mechanical strength, in particular peel strength, low dope permeability and high stiffness properties.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a composite hollow fiber membrane having an improved mechanical strength by using the tubular knitted fabric and the problem that the reinforcement and the resin thin film are separated during operation.
One aspect of the present invention for achieving the above object relates to a tubular knitted fabric knitted with multifilament made of yarn with twisting properties.
Another aspect of the present invention for achieving the above object relates to a composite hollow fiber membrane consisting of a multifilament knitted tubular knitted fabric made of yarn with twisting properties and a polymer resin thin film coated on the surface of the tubular knitted fabric.
According to the embodiments of the present invention, the morphological structure of the twisting characteristics of the yarn constituting the tubular knitted fabric increases the density of the tubular knitted fabric, but secures a gap through which the dope can penetrate as compared to the yarn of the circular structure, so that the tubular knitted fabric and the polymer The peel strength between resin thin films becomes excellent, and the permeability performance can be improved because of the bulky nature of the knitted fabric. In addition, because the yarn having the characteristics of the twisted structure is excellent in elongation and recovery, it is possible to minimize the damage caused by pressing or impact of the reinforcement made through knitting, increase the stiffness and increase the mechanical strength, The composite hollow fiber membrane coated with the polymer resin thin film on the tubular knitted fabric can induce excellent peel strength and pressure resistance improvement. Such composite hollow fiber membranes can be usefully used for sewage end treatment, solid-liquid separation in septic tanks, removal of suspended solids in industrial wastewater, filtration of river water, filtration of industrial water, and filtration of pool water.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

The present invention has been conceived to improve the problem that the reinforcement and the polymer resin thin film are separated during operation, particularly due to the low peel strength. Proposals proposed to improve the peel strength of the conventional composite hollow fiber membranes have limitations in expanding the knitted fabric and controlling the stiffness because the peel strength is controlled only by adjusting the denier number of the multifilament. In addition, the solution using the fine fiber as a method of increasing the specific surface area to increase the peel strength of the composite hollow fiber membrane is an undesirable problem when coating with the dope solution by inducing a lot of baffles during knitting It acts as a factor that occurs. In addition, in the case of the plywood, which is used in combination with the fibers in order to improve the stiffness, the morphological combination with the fine fibers may be misaligned, leading to a decrease in the density and the roundness of the pore roundness. Therefore, in this case, there is a problem that the polymer resin thin film coating is difficult to be uniformly made on the surface of the tubular knitted fabric.
Embodiments of the present invention have used yarns containing the twisting properties of morphological structures to knit tubular knit fabrics to solve this problem. Yarns with twisting properties apply artificially strong twists in the yarn manufacturing process and fix them through heat fixation, the yarns thus produced exhibit a coil shape. The tubular knitted fabric made of multifilament yarns, which are twisted yarns with twisting properties, can easily penetrate the dope solution and provide a composite hollow fiber membrane having high peel strength, excellent permeability, mechanical strength, and stiffness, and thus applied to a separator. Process stability in the field can be secured.
That is, the characteristic improved in the composite hollow fiber membrane by knitting the tubular knitted
The stiffness is excellent in the characteristic which expresses additionally by using the yarn which has a twisting characteristic. The importance of stiffness can be considered in two aspects, one of which is the epicenter of the composite hollow fiber membrane (the degree of roundness of the hollow fiber membrane), which is an important factor in determining whether the composite hollow fiber membrane is uniformly coated. Doing. Another aspect is that, in water treatment applications, as the stiffness increases, the vibrating action of the aeration is amplified to easily remove contaminants.
The yarn number used in the embodiments of the present invention is 10 to 300 pillars and the fineness is 3 to 500 denier. That is, it is preferable that a yarn consists of 10-300 filament monofilament, and the fineness of a monofilament is 0.3-50 denier. When the fineness of the monofilament exceeds 50 denier, the peel strength between the tubular knitted
The yarn may be woven from 2 to 16 strands to form a multifilament in terms of peel strength, ease of penetration control and economy of the dope solution, and the fineness of the multifilament is 5 to 1500 denier. More preferably, the fineness of the multifilament used in the tubular knitted fabric may be 100 to 800 denier, most preferably 200 to 300 denier, but is not limited thereto.
When the fineness of the multifilament is less than 100 denier, the production speed is lowered, and when the fineness of the multifilament exceeds 800 denier, the outer diameter of the tubular knitted
The material of the tubular knitted
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the polymer resin
With regard to water permeability and filtration reliability, the tubular knitted
The micropore structure and porosity of the polymer resin
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the polymer resin
Subsequently, the polymer resin
In one embodiment of the present invention, the thickness of the polymer resin
The polymer resin
In the manufacturing process of the composite hollow fiber membrane according to the embodiment of the present invention, the tubular knitted
The dope solution usable in the embodiments of the present invention is prepared by dissolving a polymer resin and an additive polyvinyl pyrrolidone and a hydrophilic compound in an organic solvent. Preferred content ranges of the components of the dope solution are 10 to 50% by weight of the polymer resin, 1 to 30% by weight of the polyvinyl pyrrolidone and the hydrophilic compound and 20 to 89% by weight of the organic solvent, but are not limited thereto.
Polymer resins include polysulfone resins, polyethersulfone resins, sulfonated polysulfone resins, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) resins, polyacrylonitrile (PAN) resins, polyimide resins, polyamideimide resins and polyesterimide At least one selected from the group consisting of resins can be used.
As the organic solvent, at least one selected from the group consisting of dimethylacetamide and dimethylformamide may be used, but is not limited thereto.
In addition, as the surface pore-forming agent, at least one selected from the group consisting of water or a polypyrrolidone-based compound may be used. When the polypyrrolidone compound is less than 1%, the surface pore is not uniformly formed, and the polypyrrolidone compound is 30% or more. In this case, the mechanical strength decreases due to the increase in brittleness of the thin film.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the following examples, which may be variously modified and the scope of the present invention is limited to the following examples. <복합 중공사 막의 물성 평가 방법><Method for Evaluating Physical Properties of Composite Hollow Fiber Membrane>
The physical properties of the composite hollow fiber membranes prepared in Examples 1 to 3 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 were measured by the following method, and the results are shown in Table 3 below.
Experimental Example 1-peeling strength
The load at the moment of peeling the polymer resin thin film from the tubular knitted fabric was measured using a tensile tester, and the peel strength was calculated by dividing this by the area (m 2) to which shear force was applied. Specific measurement conditions are listed in Table 1 below.
Peel strength is defined as shear strength per unit area applied to the coated polymer resin thin film when the specimen is tensioned, and the area (m 2 ) where shear force is applied is π × outer diameter of the composite hollow fiber membrane (m) × composite hollow fiber Calculated as the length (m) of the adherend of the membrane. The calculation is as follows.
* 박리 강도(Pa) = 항복점의 하중(kg) / 전단력이 가해지는 면적(m2) * Peel strength (Pa) = load at yield point (kg) / area to which shear force is applied (m 2 )
Experimental Example 2-Permeability of the dope solution

Specific measurement conditions are listed in Table 2 below.

투수량 단위는 LMH(L/m2×h)이다. A small pressurized module with a membrane area of 0.0057 m 2 was produced and placed in a device with a pressure gauge. The interlayer differential pressure was kept constant at 100 kPa, and the water permeation amount was measured for 2 minutes by supplying RO water at 24 ± 1 ° C. Permeability unit is LMH (L / m 2 × h).
As can be seen in Table 3, when using a yarn having a twisting characteristic can be obtained an excellent membrane that does not occur in the dope solution to the hollow portion of the hollow fiber membrane. In addition, in the case of Example 2, compared with Example 1, the contact area with a dope solution becomes comparatively wider, using the monofilament of a low denier compared with Example 1. Therefore, the peeling strength was increased, on the contrary, the stiffness was lowered due to the low denier. In the case of Example 3, compared with Example 1, the contact area with a dope solution becomes comparatively small using a high denier monofilament. Therefore, the peeling strength was lowered and conversely, the stiffness showed an elevated result due to the high denier.
In the case of the comparative example 1 using the yarn of a circular structure, it can confirm that peeling strength is very low. This is because the tubular knitted fabric is a knitted fabric formed by a yarn of circular structure and has a low contact specific surface area with the dope solution. In Comparative Example 1, the stiffness shows a relatively high value, but it can be confirmed that the function of the hollow fiber membrane is lost due to the penetration of the dope solution into the hollow portion. In addition, in the case of Comparative Example 2 using a yarn made of a low denier monofilament, although the dope solution did not penetrate, as the yarn of the circular structure is used, both twist strength and stiffness were obtained. It can be confirmed that the effect is lower than when using yarn (Example 2).
That is, from the results of the experimental example for the above Examples and Comparative Examples, the yarn made of a structure having a twisting characteristic as in the present invention is superior in dope permeability and stiffness as compared to the yarn made of a circular structure and peel strength through expansion of the specific surface area It can be seen that it is possible to promote.
