Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a power monitoring device, and more particularly, to a power monitoring device for calculating and monitoring the input power and output power of the power supply device.
In recent years, as the importance of efficient energy management becomes more and more important, power supply (Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS)) field also continuously monitors the input / output power status to improve the energy management of the entire system. The need for use as a measure has emerged.
Accordingly, in the related art, after measuring the input current and the input voltage, respectively, to monitor the input power and the output power, a formula for calculating power of the measured input current and the input voltage (P (power) = I (current) × V (voltage Input power was calculated by substituting)).
In addition, the output power was also calculated by substituting the formula for obtaining the power after measuring the output current and the output voltage, respectively, similarly to the method for obtaining the input power.
However, the input voltage and the output voltage in the power supply outputting constant voltage can be measured relatively easily because they remain almost constant regardless of the load variation. However, in the case of the current, the distorted value is measured because the variation varies depending on the load. It was likely to do. In particular, when a very small load is connected to the power supply, the input current flows very small, which makes it difficult to measure the actual input current.

The reason for providing the compensation lookup table LT2 will be described. The compensation lookup table LT2 may store a correction value for each output load, and may configure various sizes of the table according to the degree of nonlinearity of the output
A detailed method of compensating for the error of the output current will be described again when the
The
Before calculating the output power, the
That is, before measuring the output current Iout, the correction value in the compensation lookup table LT2 is detected to adjust the amplification degree n of the
In addition, the
In more detail, the
1][Equation 1]
Input current = (output power / expected efficiency) / input voltage
Next, the
Through the above process, the
Hereinafter, an operation of the
In addition, the
The
That is, when the
For example, when the input information (input current) applied from the
In addition, the
Then, the
As described above, the

Input current = (output power / efficiency information) / input voltage
Finally, the
