Abstract

본 발명은 홈네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 서버가 유선을 통해 수신한 신호를 MPEG2 방식으로 압축하여 무선 랜을 이용하여 휴대용 무선 단말기로 전송함으로써, 선명한 화질의 TV시청을 할 수 있도록 한 홈네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 발명은 유선을 통해 수신된 TV신호의 영상 데이터를 압축하여 제어신호에 따른 무선 영상신호를 출력하는 서버와; 상기 서버로 송신하는 제어신호에 따른 상기 압축된 영상신호를 수신하여 압축해제 후 제어신호에 의해 영상을 디스플레이하는 텔레비전(TV : Television)으로 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다. 따라서, 본 발명은 TV 수신을 담당하는 서버가 유선을 통해 공중파 방송을 수신하여 영상을 압축해서 휴대용 무선 단말기로 무선 전송하고, 그 휴대용 무선 단말기는 영상 데이터의 압축을 해제하여 영상을 디스플레이함으로써, 외부 안테나를 이용하여 신호를 수신하는 기존의 TV보다 잡음이 적은 선명한 화질로 TV영상을 수신할 수 있으며 TV 수신이 좋지 않은 지역에서도 TV를 시청할 수 있고, 실시간 영상의 녹화가 가능하여 사용자가 시청하지 못했던 TV 프로그램을 언제든지 시청할 수 있는 효과가 있다.

본 발명은 홈네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 서버가 유선을 통해 수신한 신호를 MPEG2 방식으로 압축하여 무선 랜을 이용하여 휴대용 무선 단말기로 전송함으로써, 선명한 화질의 TV시청을 할 수 있도록 한 홈네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로, 현재 상용화되고 있는 휴대용 TV는 공중파 TV신호를 튜너를 통해 수신하여 수신 영상을 디스플레이하며, 공중파 신호 수신이 좋지 않은 지역에서는 TV시청이 불가능하였다.
따라서, 홈 네트워크가 구성된 가정 또는 사무실 내에서 이동이 편리한 휴대용 TV를 이용하여 TV를 시청할 때 선명한 화질을 제공함과 아울러, 공중파 신호 수신율이 좋지 않은 지역에서도 TV를 시청할 수 있도록 할 필요성이 있다.
따라서, 본 발명은 상기와 같은 필요성을 감안하여 안출된 것으로, 홈네트워크의 일부로 TV 기능을 구현한 기술로서, TV 수신을 담당하는 서버가 유선을 통해 공중파 방송을 수신하여 영상을 압축해서 휴대용 무선 단말기로 무선 전송하고, 그 휴대용 무선 단말기는 영상 데이터의 압축을 해제하여 영상을 디스플레이함으로써, 외부 안테나를 이용하여 신호를 수신하는 기존의 휴대용 TV보다 잡음이 적은 선명한 화질로 TV 영상을 수신할 수 있으며 TV 수신이 좋지 않은 지역에서도 TV를 시청할 수 있도록 한 홈네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템을 제공함에 그 목적이 있다.
상기와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명은, 유선을 통해 수신된 TV신호의 영상 데이터를 압축하여 제어신호에 따른 무선 영상신호를 출력하는 서버와; 상기 서버로 송신하는 제어신호에 따른 상기 압축된 영상신호를 수신하여 압축해제 후 제어신호에 의해 영상을 디스플레이하는 휴대용 TV로 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다.
이하, 본 발명 따른 일실시예를 첨부한 도면을 참조하여 상세히 설명하면 다음과 같다.
도 1은 본 발명 홈네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템을 보인 예시도로서, 이에 도시된 바와 같이 유선을 통해 수신된 TV신호의 영상 데이터를 압축하여 제어신호에 따른 무선 영상신호를 출력하는 서버(10)와; 상기 서버(10)로 송신하는 제어신호에 따른 상기 압축된 영상신호를 수신하여 압축해제 후 제어신호에 의해 영상을 디스플레이하는 휴대용 TV(20)로 구성된 것으로, 이와 같이 구성된 본 발명의 기술사상의 이해를 돕기 위해 첨부된 도 2, 3을 이용하여 본 발명의 동작 및 작용을 설명하면 다음과 같다.
홈네트워크가 구성된 가정을 예로 들면 먼저, TV신호를 수신하여 디지털신호로 변경, 특정 압축방식을 통하여 압축 무선 전송하는 서버(Main Station)(10)와, 그 서버(10)로부터 받은 압축 영상 데이터를 압축해제 후, 화면에 디스플레이하여 사용자에게 TV영상을 보여주는 모니터 기능의 휴대용 TV(20)로 나뉜다.
우선, 도 1의 (a)와 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 서버(10)는 유선 케이블을 통해 TV 튜너(11a)로 수신된 아날로그의 TV신호를 튜닝하여 A/D변환부(12)로 전송하고, 통해 아날로그신호를 디지털로 변환시킨다.
이후, 디지털로 변환된 영상신호 및 음성신호는 인코더(13)의 비디오 입력단자(13a)와 오디오 입력단자(13b)로 입력되어 MPEG2방식으로 인코딩된 후 PCI BUS를 통해 전송부(14)로 전송되고 무선 랜(Wireless LAN)을 통해 휴대용 TV(20)의 수신부(21)로 무선 전송된다.
이때, CPU(17)는 제어정보 수신 제어기(16)의 제어정보 수신부(16a)를 통해 수신된 휴대용 TV(20)의 채널 조정/음량 조절/화면 조정/녹화/재생 등의 제어요구신호를 입력받아 그에 따라 제어부(16b)를 통해 서버(10)를 제어한다.
이에 의해, 저장부(15)는 상기 제어요구신호에 의해 인코더(13)의 출력을 실시간 영상을 녹화한 후 사용자에 의해 재생요구신호가 입력되면 그 저장된 MPEG2 방식의 영상, 음성 데이터를 휴대용 TV(20)로 무선 랜(Wireless LAN)을 통해 전송한다.
그러면, 도 1의 (b)와 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 휴대용 TV(20)는 무선 랜(Wireless LAN)을 통해 상기 MPEG2방식의 인코딩된 영상, 음성 데이터를 수신부(21)를 통해 수신하고, 그 수신된 데이터는 PCI BUS를 통해 임베디드 프로세서(Embedded Processor)(25)로 전송됨과 아울러, 호스트 인터페이스 로직(Host Interface Logic)에 의해 MPEG2방식의 디코더(22)로 입력되어, 그 디코더(22)에 의해 디코딩되어 비디오 출력단자(22a)와 오디오 출력단자(22b)를 통해 압축해제된 출력 데이터는 비디오 제어부(26)를 거쳐 디스플레이부(23)에 의해 디스플레이됨과 동시에 스피커(27)를 통해 음성이 출력된다.
이때, 제어정보 송신 제어기(24)의 제어정보 송신부(24a)는 제어부(24b)의 제어에 의해 무선랜(Wireless LAN)을 통해 휴대용 TV(20)의 채널조정/음량조절/화면조정/녹화/재생 등의 제어요구신호를 서버(10)로 송신하고, 그 제어부(24b)는 그에 따른 서버(10)의 제어신호로 휴대용 TV(20)를 제어한다.
따라서, 본 발명 홈네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템은 유선을 통해 공중파 방송을 수신하고, 무선랜을 이용한 선명한 화질의 TV를 시청할 수 있다.
이상에서 상세히 설명한 바와 같이 본 발명은 홈네트워크의 일부로 TV기능을 구현한 기술로서, TV수신을 담당하는 서버가 유선을 통해 공중파 방송을 수신하여 영상을 압축해서 휴대용 무선 단말기로 무선 전송하고, 그 휴대용 무선 단말기는 영상 데이터의 압축을 해제하여 영상을 디스플레이함으로써, 외부 안테나를 이용하여 신호를 수신하는 기존의 휴대용 TV보다 잡음이 적은 선명한 화질로 TV영상을 수신할 수 있으며 TV수신이 좋지 않은 지역에서도 TV를 시청할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
또한, 실시간 영상의 녹화가 가능하여 사용자가 시청하지 못했던 TV프로그램을 언제든지 시청할 수 있는 효과가 있다.

Claims (6)

  1. 유선을 통해 수신된 TV 신호의 영상 데이터를 압축하여 제어 신호에 따른 무선 영상 신호를 출력하는 서버; 및
    상기 서버로 송신하는 제어 신호에 따른 상기 압축된 영상 신호를 수신하여 압축 해제 후 제어 신호에 의해 영상을 디스플레이하는 텔레비전(TV : Television)을 포함하며,
    상기 서버는,
    상기 유선을 통해 상기 TV 신호를 수신하는 제1 수신부;
    상기 제1 수신부의 아날로그 영상 신호를 디지털 영상 신호로 변환하는 A/D 변환부;
    상기 디지털 영상 신호의 데이터를 MPEG2 방식의 영상 데이터로 인코딩하는 인코더;
    상기 인코더의 출력 영상 데이터를 녹화하는 저장부;
    무선랜을 통해 상기 인코딩된 디지털 영상 데이터를 상기 TV로 전송하는 전송부; 및
    상기 TV의 제어 요구 신호를 수신하고, 상기 수신된 제어 요구 신호를 근거로 상기 전송부를 제어하는 제어 정보 수신 제어기로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 홈 네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템.

  3. 제1 항에 있어서, 상기 제어 정보 수신 제어기는,
    상기 무선랜을 통해 상기 TV의 채널 조정, 음량 조절, 화면 조정, 녹화 및 재생 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 상기 제어 요구 신호를 수신하는 제어 정보 수신부; 및
    상기 제어 요구 신호를 근거로 상기 서버를 제어하는 제어부로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 홈 네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템.
  4. 제1 항에 있어서, 상기 서버는,
    상기 TV의 녹화 요구 신호에 의해 실시간으로 영상을 상기 저장부에 녹화하고, 상기 TV의 재생 요구 신호에 의해 상기 녹화된 영상을 상기 TV에 전송하게 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 홈 네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템.
  5. 제1 항에 있어서, 상기 TV는,
    MPEG2 방식으로 압축 전송된 영상 데이터를 수신하는 제2 수신부;
    상기 수신된 MPEG2 방식의 영상 데이터를 압축 해제하는 압축 해제부;
    상기 압축 해제된 디지털 영상 데이터를 오버레이하는 디스플레이부; 및
    상기 제어 요구 신호를 상기 서버로 전송하는 제어 정보 송신 제어기로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 홈 네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템.
  6. 제5 항에 있어서, 상기 제어 정보 송신 제어기는,
    상기 무선랜을 통해 상기 TV의 채널 조정, 음량 조절, 화면 조정, 녹화 및 재생 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 상기 제어 요구 신호를 상기 서버로 송신하는 제어 정보 송신부; 및
    상기 제어 정보 송신부의 제어 요구 신호에 의해 출력되는 상기 서버의 제어 신호로 상기 TV를 제어하는 제어부로 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 홈 네트워크를 이용한 무선 TV 시스템.
