Description
The present invention relates to a method for forming a grating and a method for manufacturing a diffractive optical device using the same, and more particularly, to a method for forming a sawtooth grating and a method for manufacturing a diffractive optical device using the same.
In recent years, diffractive optical devices have become important scaffolds for forming surface gratings. The diffractive optical element is composed of a spectrometer, a beam splitter, and a stereoscopic image element.
In order to analyze the diffraction grating using the diffraction optical element, a number of analysis methods have been introduced. Rigorous Coupled Wave Analysis (RCWA), Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD), Finite Element Method (FEM), or Fourier modal method.
Among these analyzes, the Fraunhofer approach and the Fourier transform method are suitable for scalar analysis, and the electromagnetic field analysis method (RCWA) is suitable for vector analysis.
Scalar analysis is used when the grating is large compared to the wavelength, and through such an analysis, the diffraction theory and the grating model can be established in close proximity.
In addition, the vector diffraction analysis method is used when the grating is similar to or smaller than the wavelength, and the diffraction characteristics of the sawtooth grating can be known through the polarization generated by the incident light of TE (Transverse Electric) and TM (Transverse Magnetic).
The efficiency and characteristics of this diffractive optical element are determined by the profile of the diffraction grating. However, in the case of the conventional sawtooth diffraction grating, it is hard to obtain proper diffraction characteristics because it is closer to the sinusoid rather than the sawtooth shape.
A first object of the present invention for solving the above problems is to provide a grid forming method for implementing a straight sawtooth shape.
Further, a second object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a diffractive optical element for forming a straight serrated resin substrate.

In addition, the method for manufacturing a diffractive optical device according to an aspect of the present invention for achieving the second object of the present invention is to form a photoresist pattern on a substrate, the following equation on the substrate having the photoresist pattern Irradiating an etch beam at an angle to etch, etching the photoresist pattern and the substrate by irradiating the etch beam, etching the photoresist pattern and the substrate to form a mold having a lattice on a surface thereof, and It provides a method for producing a diffractive optical element comprising molding a resin substrate having a grating on the surface using a mold.

In the above equation,? Denotes an angle formed by the normal of the substrate and the etching beam, P denotes the period of the diffraction grating, F denotes the ratio of the photoresist in one period, and h denotes the height of the photoresist.
According to the present invention, an etching beam that satisfies an etching selectivity ratio of 1: 1 with respect to the substrate and the photoresist is used, and the period of the diffraction grating, the height of the grating, the height of the photoresist, and the angle between the normal and the etching beam of the substrate are made. By establishing the equation that satisfies the equation, a linear sawtooth grating can be formed.
The resin substrate is molded using a linear sawtooth lattice mold and used for the diffractive optical element, thereby improving the efficiency of the diffraction grating.
It should be noted that the following examples are merely for illustrative purposes and do not limit the scope of the present invention.
1A to 1F are cross-sectional views illustrating a lattice forming method and a mold manufacturing method using the same according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 1A, a
Referring to FIG. 1B, a
First, a first
Thereafter, an
The second
Referring to FIG. 1C, patterning is performed for about 5 minutes by irradiating E-Beam on the
Subsequently, MIBK (rinse-filled beaker) is washed with water at a temperature of 20 ° C to 25 ° C for 10 to 30 seconds, and baked for 3 minutes at a temperature of 100 ° C to 120 ° C. As described above, when the steps of FIGS. 1A to 1C are performed, a period of the
Referring to FIG. 1D, the
Equation
In the above equation,? Denotes an angle formed by the normal of the substrate and the etching beam, P denotes the period of the diffraction grating, F denotes the ratio of the photoresist in one period, and h denotes the height of the photoresist.
Referring to FIG. 1E, an etch beam is irradiated onto the
Since the temperature inside the chamber during the etching should be about 6 to 7 ℃ higher than the room temperature, the temperature inside the chamber is raised to 6 ℃ to 7 ℃.
In addition, when the etching is performed for 30 minutes or more, the etching time may not exceed 30 minutes at a time because the temperature inside the chamber may be increased to change the etching ratio according to the etching time. For example, when the etching is to be performed for 50 minutes as in one embodiment of the present invention, after etching for 30 minutes, the temperature in the chamber is lowered to room temperature and the etching is performed for 20 minutes again to have an optimized etching efficiency.
The etch beam irradiated on the
However, in addition to tilting the
The etching beam may have a straightness and may have an etch selectivity of 1: 1 with respect to the
When etching is performed using the high speed atomic beam, the sum of the etching depth of the
As such, when the linear sawtooth grating is formed, the diffraction grating efficiency may be improved as compared with the conventional curved grating. For example, when the maximum efficiency of the curved diffraction grating is 33.8%, the maximum efficiency of the sawtooth diffraction grating is near 100%.
Referring to FIG. 1F, the

상기 수지(150)는 PMMA(poly-methyl methacrylate)일 수 있다.Referring to FIG. 2A, a
Referring to FIG. 2B, after placing the
Referring to FIG. 2C, the

3A to 3B, when the etching beam is irradiated to the
Referring to FIG. 3C, when the etching beam is irradiated to the
Referring to FIG. 3D, when the etching beam is irradiated to the
Therefore, the time of the etching beam irradiated to the

Referring to FIG. 4A, as a result of measuring the depth of the grating formed by irradiating the etch beam, it can be seen that it is about 0.84 μm, and the period of the diffraction grating is about 2 μm.
Referring to FIG. 4B, it can be seen that the diffraction grating is formed of a sawtooth grating close to a straight line.
5 is a graph showing diffraction efficiency according to grating depth according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 5, the relationship between grating depth and diffraction efficiency may be known according to vector analysis. The maximum diffraction efficiency of the first diffraction order in the TE field is 69.8% when the grating depth is 0.83 nm, and the maximum efficiency of the first diffraction order in the TM field is 73% when the grating depth is 0.84 nm. appear.
From the above results, in order to form the period P of the toothed grating at 2.0 mu m, it is preferable that the height h of the diffraction grating is 0.84 mu m, and the ratio F of the photoresist in one cycle is 0.5.
In addition, when the number is substituted into the above equation, the angle between the normal and the etch beam of the substrate representing the angle between the normal to the surface of the
Therefore, by using such an equation and using an etch beam having excellent straightness, a straight sawtooth grating can be formed. In addition, the
