Claims (20)
- 무선 통신망에서의 적어도 하나의 노드에 의한 통신 방법으로서,노드에 의해 복수의 사용가능한 채널을 스캔하는 단계와,복수의 채널 메시지를 수신하는 단계 - 복수의 채널 메시지는 복수의 사용가능한 채널에 대응함 - 와,수신된 복수의 채널 메시지에 기초하여 스캔 요약(a scan summary)을 처리하여 적어도 하나의 지능형 액세스 포인트가 검출되는지를 판정하는 단계와,복수의 채널로부터, 검출된 지능형 액세스 포인트에 대한 최선의 라우팅 메트릭(a best route metric)을 갖는 채널을 선택하는 단계를 포함하는 통신 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,스캔 요약을 처리한 후에 지능형 액세스 포인트가 검출되지 않았을 때 노드가 무선 통신망의 또 다른 노드의 서비스 세트와 합체(merge)하는지의 여부를 판정하는 단계를 더 포함하는 통신 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,노드가 서비스 세트와 합체하지 않았을 때 노드에 의해 최소로 부하가 가해지는 채널을 선택하는 단계를 더 포함하는 통신 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,노드가 서비스 세트와 합체할 때 최선의 연결성을 갖는 채널을 선택하는 단계를 더 포함하는 통신 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,노드에 의해 수신된 채널 메시지에 기초하여 선택된 채널에 대해 최선의 라우팅 메트릭으로 채널 표(a channel table)를 갱신하는 단계를 더 포함하는 통신 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,선택된 채널을 사용하여 무선 통신망에서 적어도 하나의 메시 액세스 포인트(mesh access point)와 통신하도록 노드를 동작시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 통신 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서,다른 채널을 선택하도록 노드를 동작시키는 단계와,다른 채널 상에서 무선 통신망에서 또 다른 메시 액세스 포인트와 통신하도록 노드를 동작시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 통신 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서,채널 표는 채널 혼잡도(channel congestion) 및 링크 품질에 관련된 정보를 포함하는통신 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,노드가 무선 통신망에서 초기 통신을 실행할 때 상기 통신 방법 및 선택 단계들을 실행하는통신 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,노드가 제1 메시 액세스 포인트로부터 제2 메시 액세스 포인트로 그 연관(its association)을 변경하고자 시도할 때 상기 통신 방법 및 선택 단계들을 실행하는통신 방법.
- 무선 멀티-홉 통신망에서의 복수의 노드에 의한 통신 방법으로서,각각의 노드에서,노드에 의해 복수의 사용가능한 채널을 스캔하는 단계와,복수의 채널 메시지를 수신하는 단계 - 복수의 채널 메시지는 복수의 사용가능한 채널에 대응함 - 와,수신된 복수의 채널 메시지에 기초하여 스캔 요약을 처리하여 적어도 하나의 지능형 액세스 포인트가 검출되는지를 판정하는 단계와,복수의 채널로부터, 검출된 지능형 액세스 포인트에 대한 최선의 라우팅 메트릭을 갖는 채널을 선택하는 단계를 포함하는 통신 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,각각의 노드에서,스캔 요약을 처리한 후에 지능형 액세스 포인트가 검출되지 않았을 때 노드가 무선 통신망의 또 다른 노드의 서비스 세트와 합체하는지의 여부를 판정하는 단계를 더 포함하는 통신 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서,각각의 노드에서,노드가 서비스 세트와 합체하지 않았을 때 노드에 의해 최소로 부하가 가해지는 채널을 선택하는 단계를 더 포함하는 통신 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서,각각의 노드에서,노드가 서비스 세트와 합체할 때 최선의 연결성을 갖는 채널을 선택하는 단계를 더 포함하는 통신 방법.
- 무선 통신망의 노드로서,트랜시버; 및트랜시버에 통신가능하게 결합되어,복수의 사용가능한 채널을 스캔하고,트랜시버를 통해 복수의 채널 메시지를 수신하고 - 복수의 채널 메시지는 복수의 사용가능한 채널에 대응함 - ,수신된 복수의 채널 메시지에 기초하여 스캔 요약을 처리하여 적어도 하나의 지능형 액세스 포인트가 검출되는지를 판정하고,복수의 채널로부터, 검출된 지능형 액세스 포인트에 대한 최선의 라우팅 메트릭을 갖는 채널을 선택하도록 동작하는 제어기를 포함하는 노드.
