The present invention relates to a nanostructure and a method of manufacturing the same.
Nano is a unit representing one billionth of a century, derived from the ancient Greek nanos (nanos), which means dwarf, and one nanometer (nm) is one millionth of a meter. Nanotechnology is a technology that takes advantage of new phenomena and properties that appear when the size of a material is approximately several to 100 nm. The size of several to 100 nm is the size of a molecule or atom, and nanotechnology is an extreme technology.
On the other hand, when the material reaches the nano level, the phenomenon of color change occurs even if the same material depending on the nanoparticle composition difference. It is known that colorless materials produce different colors. For example, a peacock male threatens natural enemies with his eyes wide open in fake colors (wings) wrapped in brilliant colors. From blue to red, it's all natural. Peacock wings are composed of 'melanin', a protein commonly found in living organisms. Melanin is a colorless substance. The melanin is arranged in the form of nano-rods of different sizes (thicknesses) and arranged at different distances (spaces) to show brilliant colors. All colors visible to humans (visible rays) are made using the same material (melanin, wings with different composition) to create a full color. Specifically, if the melanin rod thickness inside the peacock wing is 100 nanometers, only blue color is reflected.
Recently, researches on various application directions using such nanotechnology have been conducted. However, there is little research for coloring various colors on the surface using nanotechnology, and commercially available products called 'chameleon paints' are being sold, but the manufacturing process is complicated.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a nanostructure for coloring the surface.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a nanostructure that is colored to the surface to realize a more beautiful color than a conventional pigment.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a nanostructure and a method for manufacturing the same, which are capable of surface coloring at a low cost and a simple process.
It is a further object of the present invention for the colored surface to exhibit different colors in different directions.
As a technical means for solving the above-described problems, the first aspect of the present invention is a nanostructure for forming a color to the surface, the nano-hole array is formed on the surface, the nano holes are formed in an array shape at predetermined intervals structure; And
It provides a nanostructure having a metal layer formed to a predetermined thickness at least on the nano holes. Preferably, the metal layer is provided on the top and bottom of the nano holes, or the metal layer is provided on the top, bottom and side surfaces of the nano holes.
"At least the top" is meant to include the top, but the bottom and side may or may not be included, respectively. On the other hand, depending on the deposition method of the metal layer and the depth of the nano-holes, the shape of the metal layer is formed on the bottom surface, side surfaces except the upper portion of the nano holes may vary. For example, when the depth of the nano holes is relatively deep, depending on the deposition method, the metal layer may not reach the bottom surface of the nano holes, or the metal layer may be formed only on a part of the side adjacent to the top. In addition, when the deposition method with excellent step coverage is used, the metal layer may be deposited on the top, bottom, and side surfaces of the nano holes.
Preferably, the pitch between the nano holes is 20 to 500 nm, the depth of each nano hole is 3 μm or less, more preferably 1 μm or less. The thickness of the metal layer is 100 nm or less. Outside the above-mentioned area, the beautiful colors do not appear or tend to become less colorful.
Preferably, a protective film is further formed on the metal layer, and the lower structure having the surface may be made of the same material or a different material from the nano hole structure.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of manufacturing a nanostructure for coloring a surface,
상기 표면 상부에 제1 금속층을 형성하는 단계;Forming a first metal layer on the surface;
Anodizing the metal layer to form a nanohole array structure in which nanoholes are formed in an array shape at predetermined intervals thereon; And
It provides a method of manufacturing a nanostructure having a step of forming a second metal layer to a predetermined thickness on at least the top and bottom surfaces of the nano holes.
Preferably, the first metal layer is aluminum, an aluminum alloy, tantalum (Ta), hafnium (Hf) or zirconium (Zr), and the second metal layer may be of various kinds that are not particularly limited. Pt, Au, Ti / Ni / Au, or Pd / Au.
It is provided to inform you. In the drawings, the same reference numerals refer to the same elements, and descriptions of overlapping elements will be omitted.
1 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a nanostructure according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The nanostructure is provided with a nano-
The
The nano-
Next, the nanostructure manufacturing method according to the embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 3A to 3C.
First, referring to FIG. 3A, the
Next, referring to FIG. 3B, an anodizing process is performed on the
On the other hand, the nano-holes may be made of a metal oxide such as alumina formed by anodization using a metal layer such as an aluminum alloy in addition to aluminum, and tantalum (Ta), hafnium (Hf), or zirconium (Zr) may be used. May be used. Preferably, the
In addition, in the anodization process, in order to improve the periodicity of the holes, the process may be performed in the order of primary anodization, removal of anodized aluminum oxide, and secondary anodization. In this case, if the anodized aluminum oxide is removed after the first anodic oxidation process, a pattern for periodically arranging fine holes remains, thereby enabling smooth anodization in the second anodization process.
Referring to FIG. 3C, the
4A to 4C are cross-sectional views illustrating other embodiments of the present invention.
Referring to the differences from FIG. 1, the
FIG. 4B illustrates a situation in which an
Next, a method of manufacturing a nanostructure according to another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 5A to 5C.
First, FIG. 5A illustrates a case where the
5B and 5C, which are the next processes of FIG. 5A, are the same as described above, and thus will be omitted for convenience of description.
(Production example)
6a to 6c are photographs according to the experimental example of the present invention.
As for the preparation conditions of the sample, an anodizing process was performed on the upper portion using an aluminum specimen. First, electrolytic polishing is performed to reduce the roughness of the surface of the aluminum thin film, and then aluminum is used as a positive electrode in phosphoric acid, oxalic acid, sulfuric acid, or a mixture thereof. The pattern of the alumina layer which has a microhole of 40-50 nm size was formed by apply | coating.
Then, Pt metal was deposited on the top of the film by several tens of nm thickness using a sputtering method.
Specimens produced by such a process can realize a very unique and beautiful color on the surface of the object as shown in Figure 6a to 6c. The inventors have found that such a brilliant color can be implemented differently depending on the thickness of the metal layer in the nanostructure and the pitch between each nanohole.
6B and 6C are photographs of situations in which different colors are displayed when the same sample is viewed from different directions. If the nanostructure according to the present embodiment is formed on the surface of an object using this phenomenon, there is an effect that it is possible to form different colors according to the direction on the surface of the object.
In addition, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art from the above description that various changes and modifications can be made without departing from the technical spirit of the present invention. Therefore, the technical scope of the present invention should not be limited to the contents described in the detailed description of the specification but should be defined by the claims.
