Abstract

A connector for cables with different diameters is provided to improve resistance for various environmental pollutions, to prevent voltage leakage, and to endure repeated mechanical stress. A connector for cables with different diameters includes a cable of a large diameter(2a), a cable of a small diameter(2b), a body housing(3), cable inlets(5a,5b), a cable insulator(6), a connection sleeve(4), connection grooves(7a,7b), and neutral lines(8a,8b). The cables are connected in a straight line and are surrounded by an outer sheath(1). The body housing is made of rubber. The cable inlets having different diameters are formed at both sides of the body housing. The cable insulator covers the connection ends of the cables of different diameters. The connection sleeve where the cables with different diameters are connected to each other has the connection grooves formed at both sides in correspondence to the cables. The neutral lines are connected to each other by a clamp(9) at the outside of the body housing.
