BACKGROUND OF THE
In general, a holographic storage device is a page-oriented memory input / output method using a volume hologram principle in terms of data recording / reproducing, and it is possible to increase the input / output speed to 1Gbps or more by using a parallel data processing method. It is a next generation memory system that can be implemented very quickly with a data access time of less than 100ms because the system can be configured without the mechanical driving part.
The holographic storage device records an interference fringe generated when the object light from the target object and the reference light interfere with each other in a storage medium such as a crystal that is sensitive to the amplitude of the interference fringe. That is, the holographic storage device can display the three-dimensional image of the object by recording the intensity and phase of the object light by varying the angle of the reference light, and also comprises a page unit of binary data. Hundreds to thousands of holographic digital data can be recorded on the record carrier.
Meanwhile, when reproducing holographic digital data recorded on a storage medium, the holographic storage device blocks the object light separated from the light source, deflects only the reference light at a predetermined reproduction angle, and irradiates the storage medium with the recorded interference fringe. Diffraction reproduces the original holographic digital data by diffracting the reference light for reproduction and demodulating it into an information image which is one page of binary data composed of original pixel contrasts. Here, the reproduction reference light for reproducing data recorded on the storage medium has substantially the same angle as the reference light applied when recording the holographic digital data on the storage medium.
In more detail, the holographic storage device separates the laser light generated from the light source into the reference light and the object light in the mode of recording the holographic data on the recording medium, and divides the dual object light according to the external input data. It modulates into binary data, and records the interference fringe obtained by interfering the modulated object light and the reference light reflected at a predetermined deflection angle with each other as holographic digital data corresponding to the input data. In this case, the holographic digital data is superimposed (multiplexed) when recorded on the storage medium, and the superimposed recording schemes include angular superposition, wavelength superposition, and phase code superposition. Then, in the playback mode, the holographic storage device detects and decodes the reproduced image data in units of pages recorded on the storage medium as a data image by a CCD as a detector.
1 illustrates a basic structure of a conventional hologram memory system.
The
2 is a block diagram of a disk rotating hologram storage device. If FIG. 1 is a hologram storage device using fixed media, the hologram storage device of FIG. 2 is rotated by forming a media similar to an optical disc media of a general CD / DVD, and data is sequentially stored along a track. . However, the media of the disk rotating hologram storage device do not rotate at high speed like a normal CD / DVD. ) Is stored and rotated in stepping fashion.
As a technical method of increasing storage capacity in relation to a hologram drive, an angular multiplexing, a phase multiplexing, a wavelength multiplexing method, and the like have been introduced.
3A and 3B show a method of recording data on a recording medium using an angular multiplexing method, and FIGS. 4A and 4B show a method of reproducing data stored on the medium.
In the angular multiplexing method, the disc incident angle of the reference light is adjusted to improve the storage density of the media so that data recorded at a specific angle can be reproduced only by irradiating the laser again at that specific angle.
In this way, the section in which the angle of the reference light can be selected so that data can be recorded and reproduced is called each selectivity. Currently, a method in which the mirror of the reference light is rotated in one direction and overlapped is selected.
In the angular multiplexing method, a galvanometer or a driving motor is used to change the angle of the reference light. However, in order to improve the storage density, the driving angle resolution of the motor unit must be improved. There was a problem with using the product.
In addition, an increase in the control drive unit for controlling these drive motors may cause problems such as an increase in overall product size and an inefficient component configuration.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a holographic storage device to correct the existing structure generated by driving the motor so that there is no cumulative error generated when driving the mechanism.
In order to achieve the above object, the holographic storage device including the ultra-small reference light reflecting mirror of the present invention is characterized in that the reference light reflecting mirror is provided with at least one micro mirror.
In the present invention, the micro mirror preferably rotates a fixed angle according to the on-off operation of the power source.
In the present invention, it is preferable that at least one of the micromirrors has a different fixed angle.
In the present invention, the reference light is preferably incident in parallel to the support surface to which the plurality of micro mirrors are attached.
The micro mirror unit may further include a micro mirror control unit for turning on and off the micro mirrors.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In adding reference numerals to components of the following drawings, it is determined that the same components have the same reference numerals as much as possible even if displayed on different drawings, and it is determined that they may unnecessarily obscure the subject matter of the present invention. Detailed descriptions of well-known functions and configurations will be omitted.
FIG. 5 is a block diagram of the holographic storage device according to the present invention. Referring to FIG. 5, the holographic digital data recording / reproducing operation in the holographic storage device will be described.
First, the
Meanwhile, the object light branched from the
Subsequently, in the
Next, when the holographic digital data recorded on the
As described above, in the hologram storage device, the angle of light is modulated by the micromirror. Hereinafter, the micromirror will be described in detail.
7 is an enlarged view illustrating an enlarged micro reflective mirror according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to Fig. 7, the object light is exposed vertically of the medium, and the recording surface is recorded in a stack on the medium. The reference light is exposed in parallel to the control unit to which the micromirror is attached. Each micromirror is fixed at the manufacturing stage to determine which angle it should have when turned on, with the fixed angle varying in the amount of rotation. The subminiature mirror control simply turns the mirror to a specified angle or undoes it according to on / off information.
8 is a view showing a driving principle of each micro mirror provided in the micro mirror unit according to an embodiment of the present invention.
