The present invention relates to a bottom-up electrospinning apparatus capable of mass-producing a fiber having a thickness of nanoscale (hereinafter referred to as "nanofiber") and a nanofiber manufactured using the same.
Non-woven fabrics, membranes, braids, etc. composed of nanofibers are widely used in household goods, agriculture, clothing, industrial, and the like. Specifically, it is used in various fields such as artificial leather, artificial suede, sanitary napkins, garments, diapers, packaging materials, miscellaneous materials, various filter materials, medical materials for gene carriers, defense materials such as bulletproof vests.
Conventional electrospinning apparatuses described in US 4,044,404 and the like and a method of manufacturing nanofibers using the same are as follows. Conventional electrospinning apparatus includes a spinning solution main tank for storing spinning solution, a metering pump for quantitative supply of spinning solution, a nozzle block in which a plurality of nozzles for discharging spinning solution are arranged, and fibers which are disposed at the bottom of the nozzle It consists of a collector and a voltage generator for generating a voltage.
In other words, the conventional electrospinning apparatus is a top-down electrospinning apparatus in which the collector is located at the bottom of the nozzle.
Looking at the conventional nanofiber manufacturing method using the top-down electrospinning apparatus in more detail, the spinning solution in the spinning solution main tank is continuously metered into a plurality of nozzles to which a high voltage is applied through a metering pump.
Subsequently, the spinning solution supplied to the nozzles is spun and concentrated through a nozzle onto a collector under high voltage to form a single fiber web.
Subsequently, the short fiber web is embossed or needle punched to produce a nonwoven fabric.
Such a conventional top-down electrospinning apparatus and a method of manufacturing nanofibers using the same have a problem in that the electric force effect is imparted because the spinning liquid is continuously supplied to a nozzle having a high voltage applied thereto.
On the other hand, the conventional horizontal electrospinning apparatus in which the nozzle and the collector are arranged in the horizontal direction has a disadvantage in that it is very difficult to arrange a plurality of nozzles to radiate. That is, in order to erect the nozzle plate containing the nozzle and the spinning solution in the horizontal direction with the collector, it is difficult to arrange the nozzle located at the top line and the nozzle and collector located at the bottom line at the same tip-to-collector distance. Therefore, there is a problem that only a limited number of nozzles can be arranged.
In general, since the discharge amount per hole during electrospinning is very low, 10 -2 ~ 10 -3 g / min, it is necessary to arrange a plurality of nozzles in a narrow space for mass production required for commercialization.
However, the conventional electrospinning apparatus described above is difficult to mass-produce required for commercialization because it is not possible to arrange a number of nozzles limited to a predetermined space as described above.
The conventional horizontal electrospinning device has a problem that it is difficult to commercialize because it is impossible to mass-produce most of the electrospinning at the one-hole level.
In addition, in the conventional horizontal electrospinning device, a phenomenon in which a polymer solution mass not radiated from a nozzle is attached to a collector plate as it is (hereinafter referred to as a "droplet") occurs, which causes a problem of deterioration of product quality. It was.
The present invention is capable of mass production of nanofibers, by arranging a plurality of nozzles in a narrow area to ensure high productivity per unit time, as well as preventing droplets, thereby producing high quality nanofibers and nonwoven fabrics thereof. To provide an electrospinning device. To this end, the present invention proposes a bottom-up electrospinning device in which the nozzle block is located at the bottom of the collector.
The bottom-up electrospinning device of the present invention for achieving the above problems is that the outlet of the nozzle provided in the nozzle block 4 is formed in the upper direction, and the collector is placed on top of the nozzle block 4. It is characterized in that the spinning
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In the bottom-up electrospinning apparatus of the present invention, as shown in FIG. Combined in the form of a top-up nozzle block (4) for discharging the spinning liquid in the form of a fiber, a collector (7) for accumulating the short fibers are located on the nozzle block, a voltage generator (9) for generating a high voltage and a nozzle And a spinning
In the present invention, the outlet of the nozzle (5) provided in the nozzle block (4) is formed in the upper direction, the collector (7) is located above the nozzle block (4) to spin the spinning solution in the upper direction.
As shown in FIG. 4, the nozzle block 4 includes a
The outlet of the
If the angle (θ) of the nozzle outlet exceeds 175 °, the droplet formation is large at the nozzle site, and the surface tension is increased. As a result, a higher voltage is required to form the nanofibers, and as the radiation starts at the edge portion instead of the drop center portion, the drop center portion may be solidified to block the nozzle.
On the other hand, when the angle (θ) of the nozzle outlet is less than 90 °, the droplets formed at the nozzle outlet are very small, and if the instantaneous electric field irregularity or a slight non-uniform supply is made to the nozzle outlet, the droplet form is not normal to form fibers. Droplets can happen.
In the present invention, the nozzle lengths L, L1, and L2 are not particularly limited.
However, it is preferable that the nozzle inner diameter Di is 0.01-5 mm, and the nozzle outer diameter Do is 0.01-5 mm. If the nozzle inner diameter or the outer diameter is less than 0.01mm, the droplet phenomenon occurs frequently, and if the nozzle diameter exceeds 5mm, fiber formation may be impossible.
5 and 6 show the side and the plane of the nozzle having one enlarged portion (angle) formed at the nozzle outlet, and FIGS. 7 and 8 show the side and the plane of the nozzle having two enlarged portions (angle) formed at the nozzle outlet. Indicates. That is, θ 1 shown in FIG. 7 is the angle of the primary nozzle outlet which is the portion where the spinning solution is radiated, and θ 2 is the angle of the secondary nozzle outlet which is the portion where the spinning solution is supplied.
The
The nozzle outer diameter hole (4b) is installed to prevent the droplet (droplet) phenomenon generated when all the spinning solution formed in excess at the nozzle (5) can not be fiberized and to recover the overflow spinning solution, nozzle exit Collects the spinning solution that has not been fiberized in and serves to transfer it to the spinning solution temporary supply pipe (4d) located directly on the top of the nozzle plate (4e).
