Claims (12)
- 수용성 양이온성의 제1 중합체성 보류제(retention aid)를 사용하여 셀룰로스성 현탁액을 응집시켜 셀룰로스성 응집물(floc)을 형성하고, 이러한 응집물을 기계적으로 분해시키고, 수용성 음이온성 에틸렌계 불포화 단량체 장입물을 중합 조건하에서 중합시켜 제조된 수용성 음이온성의 제2 중합체성 보류제 용액을 가함으로써 상기 현탁액을 재응집시키고, 이와 같이 재응집된 현탁액을 탈수(draining)시킴으로써 시트를 형성하고, 이러한 시트를 건조시킴을 포함하는 제지방법에 있어서,상기 수용성 음이온성 중합체성 보류제가(a) 단량체 장입물에 분지화제를 포함시킴으로써 제조된 분지된 수용성 중합체이고,(b) 고유 점도가 3dl/g 초과이며,(c) 0.005Hz에서 1.5% 용액에 대한 탄젠트 델타 유동학적 진동가(tan delta rheological oscillation value)가 0.5 이상이거나, 탈이온화 SLV 점도수가 분지화제의 부재하에 동일한 단량체 장입물로부터 동일한 중합 조건하에서 제조된 중합체의 가염 SLV 점도수의 3배 이상임을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 분지된 중합체의 탄젠트 델타 값이 0.7 초과인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 분지된 중합체의 고유점도(IV)가 6dl/g 초과인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 분지된 중합체의 염수 브룩필드 점도가 2.2mPa·s 이상인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 분지화제가 폴리에틸렌계 불포화 단량체이고, 분지화제의 양이 1 내지 10ppm 몰인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 분지화제가 폴리에틸렌계 불포화 단량체이고, 분지화제의 양이 1 내지 3.5ppm 몰인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 분지된 중합체가 역상 에멀젼 중합에 의해 제조되었고, 셀룰로스성 현탁액에 첨가되기에 앞서 물에 용해되어 희석 조성물을 형성하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 분지된 중합체가 연쇄 이동제의 존재하에서 제조되는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 분지된 중합체가 첨가된 셀룰로스성 현탁액이 용해된 알루미늄 화합물 또는 IV 3dl/g 미만의 양이온성 중합체성 응집제, 또는 이들 둘 다를 함유하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 양이온성 중합체성 보류제가, 고유 점도가 4dl/g 초과인 양이온성 합성 수용성 중합체 및 양이온성 전분으로부터 선택되는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 셀룰로스성 현탁액을 제공하고, 이러한 현탁액 속으로 IV가 3dl/g 미만인 양이온성 응고제 중합체 및 알루미늄 화합물로부터 선택된 응고제를 혼합시킨 다음, 이러한 현탁액에 IV가 6dl/g 초과인 수용성 합성 양이온성의 제1 중합체성 보류제를 혼합시킴으로써 상기 현탁액을 응집시켜 응집물을 형성하고, 이러한 응집물을 기계적으로 분해시킨 다음, 이러한 현탁액에 IV가 4dl/g 초과이고, 0.005Hz에서의 탄젠트 델타 유동학적 진동가가 0.5 초과이며, 분지화제 1 내지 10ppm을 함유하는 음이온성 단량체 장입물을 역상 에멀젼 중합시켜 제조된 수용성 분지된 음이온성의 제2 중합체성 보류제의 용액을 혼합시킴으로써 상기 현탁액을 재응집시킨 다음, 이와 같이 재응집된 현탁액을 탈수시켜 시트를 형성하며, 이러한 시트를 건조시킴을 포함하는 방법.
- (i) 연쇄 이동제가 실질적으로 존재하지 않거나, (ii) 50ppm 미만의 연쇄 이동제의 존재하에, 수용성 에틸렌계 불포화 음이온성 단량체 장입물 및 0.5 내지 10ppm의 분지화제를 역상 에멀젼 중합시켜 제조된 수용성 음이온성 중합체로서,(a) 고유 점도가 3dl/g을 초과(25℃에서 pH 7.5로 완충된 1M NaCl 중에서 서스펜디드 레벨 점도계(suspended level viscometer)를 사용하여 측정함)하고,(b) 0.005Hz에서 진동 모드의 제어된 응력 레오미터(Controlled Stress Rheometer)를 이용해 20℃에서 측정한, 탈이온수 중의 상기 중합체의 탄젠트 델타 유동학적 진동가가 0.7을 초과하는 것을 특징으로 하는 수용성 음이온성 중합체.
