Abstract

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing a foamed rubber sheet composition having a low specific gravity, which reduces working time, improves work efficiency and productivity, and prevents environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (a) introducing a natural rubber or a mixture of a natural rubber with a synthetic rubber into a banbury mixer and performing mastication for 3-5 minutes; (b) adding a crosslinking aid, an activator, a softening agent, a filler, an anti-aging agent and an anti-sticking agent and kneading them; (c) further kneading the mixture to provide a primary rubber compound; (d) repeating steps (a) to (c) and adding a crosslinking agent to form a crosslinking admixture; (e) repeating steps (a) to (c) and adding a crosslinking accelerator to form a crosslinking accelerator admixture; (f) repeating steps (a) to (c) and adding a foaming agent to form a foaming agent admixture; (g) adding the crosslinking agent admixture, crosslinking accelerator admixture and foaming agent admixture to the primary rubber compound and kneading the resultant mixture; (h) treating the kneaded rubber compound through a calendar to form a continuous rubber sheet; and (i) laminating the rubber sheet to a woven web surface-treated with a latex and foaming the laminated sheet.
