Abstract

PURPOSE: A heat pump type cold/hot water generating system is provided to achieve improved use efficiency by permitting the system to generate cold water and hot water simultaneously or selectively. CONSTITUTION: A heat pump type cold/hot water generating system comprises a compressor(100) for compressing a working fluid into a relatively high temperature high pressure state; a hot water generating heat exchanger(104) for generating hot water by using the heat of the working fluid passed through the compressor; the first expansion valve(114) for selectively receiving the working fluid which is heat exchanged in the hot water generating heat exchanger and expanding the received working fluid into a relatively low temperature low pressure state; a waste water heat exchanger(116) for passing the waste hot water supplied from an external source, which receives heat from the waste hot water, evaporating the working fluid passed through the first expansion valve and transferring the working fluid to the compressor; the second expansion valve(115) for receiving the working fluid which is heat exchanged by the hot water generating heat exchanger and expanding the received working fluid into a relatively low temperature low pressure state; a cold water side heat exchanger(120) for evaporating the working fluid passed through the second expansion valve and making the water supplied from a cold water reservoir(127) into cold water; a cold accumulation reservoir(122) for storage of the water which is heat exchanged with the working fluid in the cold water side heat exchanger; and a cold water generating heat exchanger(126) for generating cold water through the heat exchanger between the water stored in the cold accumulation reservoir and the water stored in the cold water reservoir.
