Abstract

해당 영상기기 화면상에 간편하고 용이하게 해당 기기의 사용법 및 연결방법을 설명할 수 있도록 한 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법에 관한 것으로, 사용 설명키가 입력되는지 판단하는 단계와, 사용 설명키가 입력되면 영상기기 또는 기기용 리모컨을 그래픽 형태로 디스플레이하는 단계와, 영상기기의 소정 부위에 대한 사용설명을 디스플레이하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어지므로 사용자가 간편하고 명확하게 영상기기의 사용법 및 외부 기기 연결방법을 숙지할 수 있게 한다.

Description

영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법{Method for displaying manual of video apparatus}
본 발명은 영상기기에 관한 것으로서, 특히 멀티미디어 기능을 갖는 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법에 관한 것이다.
현재 전자기기는 급속적인 멀티미디어 기술의 발전에 부응하여 다양한 멀티미디어 기능을 제공하고 있다. 예를 들어, 티브이의 경우 브이씨알(VCR), 캠코더, DVD, PC 등 다양한 멀티미디어 기기를 연결하여 사용할 수 있도록 상용화되었으며, PC의 경우에도 영상기기, 오디오기기 및 각종 주변기기 등 다수의 외부 기기를 연결하여 사용되고 있으며, 그 사용범위가 점점 늘어가고 있는 추세이다.
그리고 각 기기는 서로 다른 출력, 예를 들어 VCR :영상 음성, DVD: Y/Pb/Pr(480i), DTV:Y/Pb/Pr(480P) 등의 포멧으로 출력되므로 티브이 뒷면을 보면상기 기기들의 출력을 받아들이기 위한 다수의 연결단자가 구비되어 있고 상술한 기기들과 티브이를 연결할 때 용도에 맞게 입력하고 해당 기기의 동작모드를 정확히 선택해야 시청이 가능하다.
그러나 일반 사용자가 이와 같은 다수의 단자중 해당 기기에 맞는 단자를 찾아 연결하는 것은 물론이고 해당 기기의 동작모드를 선택하는 것은 용이한 일이 아니다. 물론 별도의 사용설명서를 읽어 상기 내용을 알 수도 있지만, 이 역시 용이한 일이 아니며, 사용자를 번거롭게 할 수 있다.
또한 각종 편의 기능의 증가에 따라 기기의 구성 및 사용방법 역시 사용자가 쉽게 이해하고 사용하기에는 어렵다.
따라서 사용자가 간편하게 각종 기기를 연결하거나, 구성의 기능과 동작을 이해하고 그 사용법을 숙지하기 위한 방법이 절실히 요구되고 있다.
종래의 기술에 따르면, 영상기기에 연결사용 가능한 외부 기기의 수가 많고 해당 외부 기기를 연결하기 위한 연결 단자 또한 다수개 존재하며, 외부 기기를 연결하는 방법, 각 구성의 동작 또는 그 사용법이 일반 사용자에게 너무 복잡하고 어려운 문제점이 있다.
따라서 본 발명은 상기한 종래의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 안출한 것으로서, 해당 영상기기 화면상에 간편하고 용이하게 해당 영상기기의 사용방법 및 외부기기 연결방법을 설명할 수 있도록 한 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법을 제공함에 그 목적이 있다.
도 1은 본 발명에 따른 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법을 나타낸 플로우챠트
도 2 및 도 3은 본 발명에 따른 매뉴얼 표시예를 나타낸 도면
본 발명에 따른 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법은 사용 설명키가 입력되는지 판단하는 단계와, 사용 설명키가 입력되면 영상기기 또는 기기용 리모컨을 그래픽 형태로 디스플레이하는 단계와, 영상기기의 소정 부위에 대한 사용설명을 디스플레이하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어짐을 특징으로 한다.
이하, 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명에 따른 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법의 바람직한 일 실시예를 상세히 설명하면 다음과 같다.
도 1은 본 발명에 따른 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법을 나타낸 플로우챠트이고, 도 2 및 도 3은 본 발명에 따른 매뉴얼 표시예를 나타낸 도면이다.
본 발명에 따른 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법의 일 실시예 즉, 티브이의 외부기기 연결부 입/출력 단자와 외부기기 연결에 관련된 디스플레이 방법은 도 1에 도시된 바와 같이, 티브이의 마이컴(도시 생략)이 사용자가 리모컨 등의 입력수단을 이용하여 사용 설명키를 입력하였는지 판단하고(S11), 사용 설명키가 입력되면 메모리(도시 생략)에 기저장된 영상정보 및 어플리케이션(application) 프로그램에 따라 도 2와 같이, 티브이의 외부기기 연결부를 그래픽형태로 디스플레이한다(S12).
이어서 다수의 입/출력 단자중 기설정된 순서에 따라 소정 입/출력 단자를 선택하고(S13), 해당 단자를 마킹(marking)한 확대그림, 연결방법 및 사용법을 그래픽형태로 디스플레이한다(S14).
즉, 도 3과 같이, 실제 티브이와 외부 기기 입/출력 단자의 연결방법을 디스플레이하고, 해당 외부 기기를 동작시키기 위해 선택하는 방법 예를 들어, 현재 DVD 연결단자를 설명하는 경우 "모드선택에서 DVD를 선택하세요" 등의 메시지를 OSD 형태로 디스플레이한다.
그리고 마이컴은 상기 디스플레이 도중 엔터키가 입력되는지 판단하여(S15), 엔터키가 입력되면 해당 기기의 동작모드로 자동 절환하고 동작설명 디스플레이를 중지한다(S16).
예를 들어, DVD 연결방법 디스플레이중 엔터키가 입력되면 티브이를 DVD 모드로 자동 절환시킨다.
또한 상기 디스플레이중 단자 선택키가 입력되면 즉, 사용자가 상/하 또는 좌/우 키를 이용하여 소정 단자를 직접 선택하면(S17), 현재 순차적으로 수행되고 있는 단자 연결방법 및 사용법 디스플레이를 중지하고 사용자가 선택한 단자의 확대그림, 연결방법 또는 사용법을 상기 단계(S14)와 동일한 방법으로 디스플레이한다(S18).
또한 상기 디스플레이중 상기 엔터키 또는 단자 선택키 이외의 키가 입력되면 사용설명 디스플레이를 중지하고 해당 기능 즉, 티브이의 일반 기능을 수행한다(S20).
예를 들어, 사용자가 리모컨의 상/하 또는 좌/우 방향키를 이용하여 티브이 채널을 절환하면 상기 사용설명 디스플레이를 중지하고 해당 채널로 절환하고 그 채널의 방송화면을 디스플레이하는 것이다.
한편, 어떤 키도 입력되지 않으면 상기 단계(S13)로 복귀하여 다음 단자를선택하고 해당 설명 디스플레이동작을 수행한다.
상술한 본 발명은 일 실시예로서, 티브이에 대해 설명한 것이지만, 추가적인 장치 구성없이 메모리 및 메모리를 제어하기 위한 제어수단과 디스플레이 수단만 구비하고 있으면 적용가능 하므로 PC 등 다수의 입/출력 단자를 구비하고 있는 각종 영상 기기에도 용이하게 적용할 수 있다.
또한 본 발명은 외부 기기 연결방법을 설명하고 있지만, 사용자가 이해하고 직접 사용하기 쉽도록 사용설명 즉, 매뉴얼을 그래픽형태로 디스플레이하는 것이 핵심이므로 해당 매뉴얼 내용에 맞도록 그래픽 정보와 어플레케이션 프로그램에 대해 약간의 변조만 수행하면 기본적인 기기의 구성설명 또는 조작방법 즉, 각종 기능키들이 구비된 조작부 또는 리모컨 등의 입력수단에도 적용할 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법은 간단한 키 입력만으로 해당 영상기기 화면을 통해 영상기기의 사용방법 또는 각종 외부 기기의 연결방법을 디스플레이 하므로 사용자가 영상기기의 사용방법 및 외부 기기 연결방법을 간편하고 명확하게 숙지할 수 있게 하는 효과가 있다.

Claims (6)

  1. 영상기기에 있어서,
    사용 설명키가 입력되는지 판단하는 단계,
    사용 설명키가 입력되면 영상기기 또는 기기용 리모컨을 그래픽 형태로 디스플레이하는 단계,
    상기 영상기기의 소정 부위를 마킹(marking)하고 해당 부위를 확대한 그래픽을 디스플레이함과 동시에 사용설명을 디스플레이하는 방식과 상기 영상기기의 소정 부위들에 대한 사용설명을 기설정된 순서로 자동으로 디스플레이하는 방식중 적어도 한 방식으로 디스플레이를 수행하는 단계를 포함하는 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법.

    상기 영상기기의 소정 부위는 적어도 하나 이상의 입/출력 단자를 포함한 외부기기 연결부임을 특징으로 하는 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법.

    상기 외부기기 연결부의 입/출력 단자들에 대한 사용설명이 디스플레이되는 도중 엔터키가 입력되면 해당 입/출력 단자에 연결된 외부기기 동작모드로 자동 절환됨을 특징으로 하는 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법.
  6. 제1 항에 있어서,
    상기 영상기기의 소정 부위는 영상기기의 조작부임을 특징으로 하는 영상기기의 매뉴얼 디스플레이 방법.
