The present invention relates to a scan processor of a magnetic resonance imaging system, and more particularly, to generate a radio frequency (RF) pulse and a gradient magnetic field for magnetic resonance imaging, The present invention relates to a scan processor of a magnetic resonance imaging system that collects data and constructs an image in real time.
Magnetic resonance imaging system is one of the widely used medical equipment for diagnosing various diseases. Compared to X-ray computed tomography (CT), the system uses a magnetic field that is harmless to the human body, so it is not harmful for long or frequent shooting. Such a magnetic resonance imaging system can obtain two-dimensional and three-dimensional images in any direction or at any position on the X, Y, and Z axes, and is rotated at a constant frequency by being magnetized by a powerful external magnetic field. After applying a number of high-frequency signals, it is a diagnostic imaging device for receiving and imaging a weak signal obtained from both, that is, a signal by magnetic resonance. Therefore, the important elements in the system are magnets that magnetize quantum, RF coils that apply high frequency (RF) to the magnetized by these magnets, obtain minute signals from them, and position information and signal acquisition of desired objects. And a gradient magnetic field for the.
In the magnetic resonance imaging system as described above, the scan processor generates a pulse sequence while driving and controlling the entire system, applies the pulse sequence to a desired object, and collects the resulting signal to collect an image. It is a device to get. Such a scan processor creates pulse sequence waveforms consisting of RF and gradient magnetic fields, controls their precise timing, converts analog signals input from the receiving coil into digital signals, collects data, and uses the collected data. It plays a role in reconstructing the image. In addition, the center frequency is precisely controlled and various server systems are controlled to maintain an optimal resonance state. As such, a scan processor that plays a key role in a magnetic resonance imaging system needs to be able to flexibly make pulse sequences to obtain various images, collect data by suppressing noise generated in the system as much as possible, It should be able to achieve scalability and modularity with the system and optimize system performance.
On the other hand, in the magnetic resonance imaging system as described above, one of the important considerations when developing the system is the acquisition of high-speed image. Factors for obtaining a high-speed image include the strength of the gradient magnetic field, the rise time of the gradient magnetic pulse, the sampling period of the analog-to-digital converter, and the like. These factors are determined during the design process of the system and are determined by the price the system targets. That is, it is a factor proportional to the cost. Apart from these factors, the elements that enable high-speed image acquisition include optimization of the pulse sequence and flexible configuration. The conventional magnetic resonance imaging system has a structure in which the shape, intensity, and timing of a pulse are stored in a memory, and a controller takes data from the memory and generates a pulse sequence through a digital-to-analog (DA) converter. The pulse sequence in such a magnetic resonance system basically consists of RF pulses and three gradient magnetic pulses called selection, reading, and coding. Therefore, a large amount of memory is required to have all the data for each time. In addition, there is a limit in designing a pulse sequence flexibly because it has predefined data. In order to obtain an oblique image, the selection, reading, and coding gradient magnetic fields must be output in a synthesized form. In order to generate a pulse sequence in the synthesized form, separate gradients for synthesizing respective gradient magnetic field data are obtained. Circuitry must be added. Incidentally, the gradient magnetic field requires fine adjustment due to the structure of the coil, the residual magnetic field, and the like, but this adjustment amount is not the same for each coil. Therefore, even if the same selection gradient magnetic field is slightly changed every time it is applied to the X, Y, Z coil, simple waveform synthesis without this consideration is a factor that inhibits the flexible configuration of the pulse sequence.
On the other hand, one of the obstacles to high-speed image acquisition is the time for image reconstruction. The signal induced in the receiving coil is stored in a memory by a scan processor via an AD converter, and a 2D image can be obtained through 2D-FFT (fast Fourier transform). However, 2D-FFT requires repetitive access of DRAM (dynamic RAM), which takes a lot of time. In the case of 1D-FFT, the DRAM read / write time can be reduced by using fast page mode (FPM), which is one of the DRAM functions. Therefore, this problem must be solved for fast reconstruction of the image.
Also, in the development of a magnetic resonance imaging system, one of the problems to be solved is the problem of noise. Digital and analog circuits coexist in the scan processor, and the interconnection between circuits adversely affects the signal / noise ratio due to the connection of each server system.
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide a scan processor of a magnetic resonance imaging system capable of making a pulse sequence flexible and suppressing noise of a system.

The
Here, the
The signal converter 13 is composed of five
Then, the operation of the scan processor of the MRI apparatus according to the present invention having the above configuration will be briefly described.
Gx = Gxs + Gxr + GxcGx = Gxs + Gxr + Gxc
Gy = Gys + Gyr + GycGy = Gys + Gyr + Gyc
Gz = Gzs + Gzr + GzcGz = Gzs + Gzr + Gzc
The pulse sequences RF, Gx, Gy and Gz calculated as above are output through the
As illustrated in FIG. 2, the
On the other hand, as a countermeasure against noise in the magnetic resonance imaging system, in the
As described above, the scan processor of the magnetic resonance imaging system according to the present invention can flexibly create various pulse sequences using waveform data that can be changed by a user instead of predefined data, and thus, a fast DSP Generating waveforms in real time can simplify the hardware of the system and reduce the manufacturing cost of the system by reducing the memory for waveform information. In addition, since the RF pulse and the gradient magnetic field pulse which form the pulse sequence are independently generated, the pulse sequence can be flexibly developed and modified, and the
