Abstract

PURPOSE: A dolby pro-logic center sound amplifier is provided to amplify the center sound by applying main L/R signal on an external sound amplifier and the center sound on a main speaker and to informing the output direction of the center sound by using OSD(on screen display). CONSTITUTION: The dolby pro-logic center sound amplifier includes a jack insertion detector(10), a microcomputer(20) and a sound switch(30). The jack insertion detector detects whether the jack is inserted so as to apply the main L/R signal or not. The microcomputer identifies the detects signal from the jack insertion detector and displays the OSD informing the forwarding of the center sound to the main speaker on the screen. The sound switch outputs the main L/R signal by way of the jack and applies the center sound to a TV sound amplifier(50) with response to the detect signal from the jack insertion detector.
