가. 청구범위에 기재된 발명이 속한 기술분야
팩시밀리에서 수신한 메시지 재전송방법에 관한 것이다.
나. 발명이 해결하려고 하는 기술적 과제
1차로 팩스 수신하여 출력된 팩스출력물을 재전송하면, 2차로 팩스 수신하여 출력된 팩스출력물의 화질이 크게 저하되어 판독이 힘든 문제점을 해결한다.
다. 발명의 해결방법의 요지
수신한 메시지를 저장하는 수신한 메시지 저장단계와, 상기 저장 후, 사용자가 재전송키와 팩스번호를 입력하면 상기 팩스번호를 다이얼링하는 다이얼링단계와, 상기 다이얼링에 응답하여 수신측 팩시밀리와의 전화라인이 연결되면, 수신한 메시지를 리드하여 전화선로를 통하여 수신측 팩시밀리로 전송하는 재전송단계를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 한다.

Description

팩시밀리에서 수신한 메시지 재전송방법{RECIEVED MESSAGE RETRANSMIT METHOD FOR FACSIMILE}
본 발명은 팩시밀리에 관한 것으로, 특히 팩시밀리에서 메시지 송수신방법에 관한 것이다.
통상 원고를 팩시밀리를 통하여 다른 팩시밀리로 전송하는 과정은 다음과 같다. 우선 송신측 팩시밀리는 스캐너를 통하여 원고를 독취하여 원고에 대응하는 화상데이타를 생성한다. 상기 팩시밀리는 상기 화상데이타의 전송을 위하여 상기 화상데이타를 부호화한다. 상기 부호화된 화상데이타를 메시지라 한다. 상기 메시지는 전화라인을 통하여 수신측 팩시밀리로 전송된다. 상기 수신측 팩시밀리는 전화라인을 통하여 메시지를 수신하여 화상데이타로 복호화한다. 상기 수신측 팩시밀리는 상기 화상데이타를 인쇄하여 팩스출력물을 출력한다.
여기서, 팩스출력물의 화질은 원고독취, 부호화, 전송, 복호화, 인쇄 등을 거침에 따라 원고의 화질에 비해 매우 저하된다.
이제, 상기와 같은 과정을 거쳐 1차로 팩스 수신하여 출력된 1차팩스출력물을 다시 2차로 팩스 전송하는 경우를 살펴본다. 우선, 상기와 같은 과정을 통하여 1차팩스출력물이 생성된다. 상기 1차팩스출력물은 이미 원고에 비하여 화질이 매우 저하된 상태이다. 그리고, 상기 1차팩스출력물을 다시 상기와 같은 과정을 통하여 2차로 팩스 전송한다. 이에따라 2차로 팩스 수신하여 출력된 2차팩스출력물은 원고에 비하여 화질이 매우 저하되었다. 이에따라 2차팩스출력물을 판독하는 것은 곤란하였다. 특히, 원고가 보통글자로 이루어진 문서인 경우에는 2차팩스출력물의 판독이 매우 어려웠다.
더구나, 잉크젯 인쇄방식을 채용한 팩시밀리는 메시지의 인쇄시 축소인쇄를 수행하므로 1차 내지 2차 팩스출력물의 화질저하는 더욱 심화되었다.
상술한 바와 같이 종래에는 1차로 팩스 수신하여 출력된 팩스출력물을 재전송하면, 2차로 팩스 수신하여 출력된 팩스출력물의 화질이 크게 저하되어 판독이 힘든 문제점을 있었다.
따라서 본 발명의 목적은 수신한 메시지의 재전송시 화질저하를 개선하는 수신한 메시지 재전송방법을 제공함에 있다.

상술한 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명은 수신한 메시지를 저장하는 수신한 메시지 저장단계와, 상기 저장 후, 사용자가 재전송키와 팩스번호를 입력하면 상기 팩스번호를 다이얼링하는 다이얼링단계와, 상기 다이얼링에 응답하여 수신측 팩시밀리와의 전화라인이 연결되면, 수신한 메시지를 리드하여 전화선로를 통하여 수신측 팩시밀리로 전송하는 재전송단계를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
이하 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 첨부한 도면을 참조하여 상세히 설명한다. 하기 설명 및 첨부도면에서 많은 특정 상세들이 본 발명의 보다 전반적인 이해를 제공하기 위해 나타나 있다. 이들 특정 상세들 없이 본 발명이 실시될 수 있다는 것은 이 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진자에게 자명할 것이다. 그리고 본 발명의 요지를 불필요하게 흐릴 수 있는 공지 기능 및 구성에 대한 상세한 설명은 생략한다.
본 발명은 팩시밀리에서 수신한 메시지를 저장하고, 이후 사용자의 선택에 따라 수신한 메시지를 다른 팩시밀리로 재전송한다. 이에따라 수신한 메시지의 재전송시 팩스출력물을 다시 독취하여 전송함에 따라 발생하는 화질저하가 발생하지 않는다.
여기서, 상기와 같은 본 발명을 적용하기 위해서 팩시밀리는 수신한 메시지를 저장하기 위한 메모리영역이 필요하다. 이에따라 본 발명을 적용하기 위하여 통상 팩시밀리는 수신한 메시지를 저장하기 위한 별도의 메모리영역을 더 구비하여야 한다.
이와달리 페이지 인쇄방식을 채용한 팩시밀리는 이미 종래부터 수신한 메시지를 저장하기 위한 메모리영역을 구비하고 있으므로, 페이지 인쇄방식을 채용한 팩시밀리는 별도의 메모리영역을 구비하지 않아도 된다.
도 1은 페이지 인쇄방식을 채용한 프린터(16)를 구비하는 통상 팩시밀리의 블럭 구성도를 도시한 것으로, 중앙처리장치(10)는 미리 설정된 프로그램에 따라 팩시밀리의 전반적인 동작을 제어한다. 모뎀(12)은 상기 중앙처리장치(10)의 제어하에 전송모드시 데이타를 전송형태로 변조하고, 수신모드시에는 데이타를 복조한다. NCU(Network Control Unit;14)는 상기 중앙처리장치(10)의 제어하에 전화라인과 모뎀(12)의 송수신 경로를 형성한다. 프린터(16)는 상기 중앙처리장치(10)의 제어하에 화상을 용지상에 인쇄한다. 특히, 상기 프린터(16)는 잉크젯 프린터 또는 레이저 빔 프린터 등의 페이지 프린터이다. 메모리(18)는 프로그램을 저장하고 있는 프로그램 메모리와 상기 프로그램의 수행중에 발생하는 데이타를 일시 저장하는 데이타 메모리를 구비한다. 또한 수신한 메시지를 저장하기 위한 메모리를 구비한다. 스캐너(20)는 중앙처리장치(10)의 제어에 따라 원고를 독취한다. 조작패널(22)은 사용자와 중앙처리장치(10)간을 인터페이스하기 위한 다수의 키와 디스플레이 장치를 구비한다. 센서부(24)는 팩시밀리의 각종 상태를 센싱하고, 그에 따른 센싱 데이타를 중앙처리장치(10)에 제공한다.
도 2는 상기 도 1의 페이지 인쇄방식을 채용한 프린터(16)를 구비하는 팩시밀리에 적용가능한 수신한 메시지의 처리 블럭도이다. 모뎀(12)은 전화라인으로부터 메시지를 수신하여 디지탈 메시지로 변조하여 버퍼 메모리(26)에 저장한다. 상기 버퍼 메모리(26)는 중앙처리장치(10)에 내장되며, 중앙처리장치(10)의 제어에 의하여 모뎀(12)으로부터 디지탈 메시지를 제공받아 버퍼링하여 제1디코더(28)로 제공한다. 상기 제1디코더(28)는 중앙처리장치(10)에 내장되며, 제1디코더(28)는 디지탈 수신 메시지의 에러체크 및 에러정정을 수행한 후 메모리(18)에 저장한다. 상기 메모리(18)에 저장된 디지탈 메시지는 페이지 단위로 제2디코더(30)에 입력된다. 제2디코더(30)는 중앙처리장치(10)의 내장되며, 페이지 단위의 디지탈 메시지를 페이지 단위로 비트 맵 데이타등의 화상데이타로 변환하여 프린터(16)로 전송한다. 프린터(16)는 페이지 단위의 화상데이타를 입력받아 그에 따른 화상을 인쇄한다.
상기와 같은 데이타 처리 과정을 가지는 팩시밀리에 적용가능한 수신한 메시지 재전송방법의 흐름도를 도시한 것이 도 3이다.
도 3의 (32)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 전화라인으로부터 메시지가 수신되는지를 검색한다. 이때 중앙처리장치(10)는 메시지가 수신되면 (34)단계를 수행하고, 그렇지 않으면 (42)단계를 수행한다. 상기 (34)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 수신한 메시지를 제1디코더(28)를 통하여 에러체크및 에러정정을 수행한후 메모리(18)에 저장한다.
여기서 상기 메모리(18)에서 상기 수신한 메시지를 저장하기 위한 영역을 나타내는 메모리 맵을 나타낸 것이 표 1이다.

상기 표 1과 같이 메모리(18)에는 수신한 메시지가 수신정보와 선택번호와 함께 순차적으로 저장된다. 상기 선택번호는 저장된 수신한 메시지의 일련번호이다. 그리고 상기 수신번호는 수신한 메시지의 송신측 팩스번호, 송신일시, 페이지수 등이다.
상기 수신한 메시지의 저장중에 중앙처리장치(10)는 (36)단계를 수행한다. 상기 (36)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 메모리(18)에 메모리 풀(Memory full)이 발생하였는지를 검색한다. 상기 메모리 풀은 메모리(18)가 더 이상 저장할 수 있는 영역을 가지지 않은 것을 말한다. 이때 중앙처리장치(10)는 메모리 풀이 발생하였으면 (38)단계를 수행하고, 그렇지 않으면 (40)단계를 수행한다. 상기 (38)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 메모리(18)에서 가장 오래된 수신한 메시지가 저장된 메모리 영역에 수신한 메시지를 저장한다. 상기 저장이 종료되면 중앙처리장치(10)는 (40)단계를 수행한다. 상기 (40)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 수신한 메시지를 제2디코더(30)를 통하여 화상데이타로 변환하여 프린터(16)에 제공한다. 이에따라 프린터(16)가 화상데이타에 따른 화상을 인쇄함으로서 팩스출력물이 출력된다. 상기 팩스출력물의 출력이 종료되면 중앙처리장치(10)는 (32)단계를 수행한다.
상기 (42)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 사용자가 수신한 메시지를 재전송하기 위하여 재전송 키를 입력하였는지를 검색한다. 이때 중앙처리장치(10)는 상기 재전송 키를 입력하였으면 (44)단계를 수행하고, 그렇지 않으면 (62)단계를 수행한다. 상기 (62)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 해당 기능을 수행한다.
상기 (44)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 메모리(18)에서 수신한 메시지의 선택번호와 수신정보를 리드하여 재전송 리스트를 출력한다. 상기 재전송 리스트를 도시한 것이 도 4이다. 상기 도 4에 도시한 바와 같이 재전송 리스트에는 메모리(18)에 저장되어 있는 수신한 메시지에 대한 선택번호와 수신정보가 차례대로 나타나 있다.
사용자는 상기 재전송 리스트의 수신정보를 보고 자신이 재전송하기를 바라는 수신한 메시지를 찾을 수 있다. 이후 사용자는 선택번호를 입력하여 메모리(18)에 저장된 다수의 수신한 메시지중에 자신이 재전송하기를 바라는 수신한 메시지를 선택할 수 있다.
상기 재전송 리스트의 출력이 종료되면 중앙처리장치(10)는 (46)단계를 수행한다. 상기 (46)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 재전송할 수신한 메시지를 선택하였는지를 검색한다. 즉, 사용자가 상기 선택번호중 어느 한 선택번호에 대응하는 숫자키를 입력하였는지를 검색한다. 이때 중앙처리장치(10)는 사용자가 재전송 리스트상의 어느 한 선택번호를 키입력하면 (48)단계를 수행하고, 그렇지 않으면 (46)단계를 수행한다. 상기 (48)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 사용자가 키입력하는 팩스번호를 입력받아 저장한다. 상기 팩스번호의 저장이 종료되면 중앙처리장치(10)는 (50)단계를 수행한다. 상기 (50)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 사용자가 조작패널(22)에 구비된 팩스번호 입력종료키를 키입력하는지를 검색한다. 이때 중앙처리장치(22)는 사용자가 팩스번호 입력종료키를 입력하였으면 (52)단계를 수행하고, 그렇지 않을 경우에는 (48)단계를 수행하여 사용자가 다음 팩스번호를 입력할 수 있도록 한다. 즉, 상기 중앙처리장치(10)는 상기 (48)단계와 (50)단계를 수행하면서 사용자가 입력하는 다수의 팩스번호들을 차례대로 저장한다.
상기 (52)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 저장되어 있는 팩스번호를 리드하여 다이얼링한다. 이때 중앙처리장치(10)는 다수의 팩스번호가 저장되어 있을 때에는 다수의 팩스번호에서 가장 먼저 입력된 팩스번호를 리드하여 다이얼링한다. 상기 다이얼링이 종료되면 중앙처리장치(10)는 다이얼링한 팩스번호를 클리어하고 (54)단계를 수행한다.
상기 다이얼링에 응답하여 교환기는 수신측 팩시밀리에 링신호를 송출한다. 이때 수신측 팩시밀리의 사용자가 링신호에 응답하면 교환기는 자(自)팩시밀리에 호출음을 제공한다.
상기 중앙처리장치(10))는 (54)단계에서 교환기로부터 호출음이 입력되었는지를 검색한다. 이때 중앙처리장치(10)는 호출음이 입력되었으면 (56)단계를 수행한다.
상기 메시지를 전송하고자 할 경우에 통상 사용자는 상기 호출음에 응답하여 조작패널(22)의 시작키를 입력한다.
상기 (56)단계에서 상기 중앙처리장치(10)는 사용자가 조작패널(22)의 시작키를 입력하는지를 검색한다. 이때 중앙처리장치(10)는 시작키가 입력되면 (56)단계를 수행하고, 그렇지 않으면 시작키입력이 있을 때까지 대기한다. 상기 (65)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 선택된 수신한 메시지를 전화라인을 통하여 수신측 팩시밀리로 전송한다. 상기 전송이 종료되면 중앙처리장치(10)는 (60)단계를 수행한다. 상기 (60)단계에서 중앙처리장치(10)는 재전송할 곳이 더 있는지를 검색한다. 즉, 저장되어 있는 팩스번호가 있는지를 검색한다. 이때 중앙처리장치(10)는 저장되어 있는 팩스번호가 없으면 상기 (30)단계를 수행하고, 그렇지 않으면 상기 (52)단계를 수행하여 다음 팩스번호의 팩시밀리에 선택된 수신한 메시지를 전송한다.
상술한 바와 같이 본 발명은 팩시밀리에서 1차로 수신한 메시지를 저장하여 이후 사용자의 선택에 따라 다른 팩시밀리로 전송할 수 있도록 한다. 이에따라 1차로 수신한 메시지를 2차로 전송함에 따라 발생하는 출력된 팩스출력물의 화질저하를 개선할 수 있다.
상술한 바와 같이 본 발명은 팩시밀리에서 1차로 수신한 메시지를 재전송함에 따라 2차로 수신한 메시지에 따른 팩스출력물의 화질이 저하되는 것을 개선할 수 있는 이점이 있다.

Claims (2)

  1. 팩시밀리에서 수신한 메시지 재전송방법에 있어서,
    메시지가 수신될 때마다 수신한 메시지와 그 수신한 메시지에 대한 정보와 그 수신한 메시지를 선택할 수 있는 선택정보를 메모리에 저장하는 단계와,
    상기 저장후 사용자가 수신한 메시지의 전송을 위하여 재전송키를 입력하면, 상기 메모리에 저장된 수신한 메시지들에 대한 정보와 선택정보를 출력하는 단계와,
    상기 출력후에 사용자에 의해 선택정보와 다수의 수신측의 다이얼 번호가 입력되면, 상기 다수의 수신측의 다이얼 번호를 순차적으로 다이얼링하여 상기 사용자가 입력한 선택정보에 대응되게 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 수신한 메시지를 다수의 수신측에 순차적으로 전송하는 단계를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 수신한 메시지 재전송방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 수신한 메시지에 대한 정보가 송신측의 다이얼 번호, 송신일시, 페이지 수 등임을 특징으로 하는 수신한 메시지 재전송방법.
