The present invention relates to an efficient loopback positioning method using a loopback procedure that proposes a new procedure for knowing a relative distance from a transmitter to a receiver and performs a loopback by placing a new field in the loopback cell. This eliminates the need for a locator to be unique in the network and the advantage of not having to know the receiver's loopback locator, making it possible to make the most of the loopback feature and to easily detect fault points. In addition, even in the network management center, the network management can be efficiently performed without the information of the entire network, and the network implementation can be simplified.

3 is a structural diagram of a loopback cell applied to the present invention.
The present invention relates to a loopback positioning method using a loopback procedure. Particularly, loopback positioning is performed by using a procedure for knowing a relative distance from a transmitter to a receiver and employing a loopback cell field. It is about a method.
In general, the loopback test is a function of testing the integrity of a network element involved in a service by sending a signal cell from a switching element currently involved in a service to a feature point between the user and returning it within a specified time.
In order to use the loopback cell, the sender needs to know the name of the receiver to perform loopback. The name of the receiver is called a loopback locator.
However, in order for the network operator or exchange operator to use the loopback function, the network operator or the exchange operator must have a loopback locator for all network elements, and each network element must have a unique name in the network. In the conventional case in which the name of the receiving side should be known from the side, there is a problem that it becomes an obstacle when using the loopback cell.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above problems, the loopback locator designates a network element relative to its current position to perform a loopback, the operator burdens the loopback locator information Its purpose is to provide a loopback positioning method using a loopback procedure that can be reduced.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention includes at least one desired point having a source distance and a destination distance field and a loopback located ID field in a loopback cell at a source side. Allocating a specific value of a corresponding position for a loopback in Eqn; A second step of transmitting each of the loop back cells from the calling party to at least one desired called party at the calling party after performing the first step; And a third step of filling the loopback located locator (Loopback located ID) in the loopback locator field at the called point and transmitting the same to the calling party.
이하, 첨부도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 일실시예를 상세히 설명한다.Hereinafter, with reference to the accompanying drawings will be described an embodiment of the present invention;
1 is a block diagram of an ATM (Asychronous Transfer Mode) switch to which the present invention is applied, and SCP (1) (Subscriber Call Processor) is a processor that performs call processing of a general subscriber using a UNI protocol. (2) In addition to (Subscriber Interface Module), overall traffic control such as lock control and UPC (Usage Parameter Control) is performed.
TCP (3) (Trunk Call Processor) is a processor that performs call processing with a network using NNI protocol. It controls call connection for incoming and outgoing calls with trunk line matching circuit TIM (4). It performs all functions necessary for registration with the network.
OMP (5) (Operation and Maintenance Processor) oversees a series of operations and maintenance functions in the system. Therefore, it is a processor that performs billing processing, statistics, maintenance, and operation management functions.
ASNM (6) (Acess Switch Network Module) is a non-blocking magnetic routing switch in ATM that transmits a cell, which is a basic ATM unit, to perform basic aggregation function according to the system configuration. The ISM 7 (Interconnection Switch Network Module) is a magnetic routing switch used as an interconnector between each ASM.
교환망에서 네트워크 운용중 노드간의 상태점검 기능은 PSTN(Public Switching Telehone Network) 및 ISDN(Integrated Service Digital Network)에서 가장 기본적인 기능이다. Status check between nodes during network operation in the switching network is the most basic function in the Public Switching Telehone Network (PSTN) and Integrated Service Digital Network (ISDN). Similarly, the status check between the subscriber and the exchange is a basic function. In the case of the PSTN, the link and network status check between the subscriber and the exchange, the exchange and the exchange are tested by the conduction test of the power between the two tests. Loopback cells and continuity check cells that can be occupied between nodes or to the user.
In the example of the present invention handled by the above and at the ATM exchange, if the loopback is to be sent to the network element 4th far from the current network element, 4 may be sent as a mess. In other words, if the originating and receiving relative distance fields are placed in the existing loopback function specific field and all zeros are filled in the loopback designator from a specific point, the relative position to the corresponding end point is obtained.
In this case, the values of the Relative Relative Distance and Relative Relative Distance fields are as follows. First, when the service is started, the calling party finds the other party's position by using the relative position of FIG. 2 and calculating the relative distance to the network element related to its service before starting the loopback.
In this case, information input method of source distance and destination distance is as follows.
If the Function Type is the relative position at the forward starting point 8 of Fig. 1, (0, 0) indicates that it is the 0th position from the current calling party and 0 from the called party. Mark the first position. (1, 0) of the second point (9) is the network element located first from the calling party, and (0, 5) of the end point 13 is the fifth network element from the calling party and is the end point. ), The loopback cell is sent back to the calling party.
In the case of the fourth point 11 in the figure, information 3 and 2 of the backward direction indicates that it is the third network element from the origin and the second network element from the called party.
3 is a structural diagram of a loopback cell, and the meanings of the main fields are as follows.
Source Distance: The relative distance from the source.
Destination Distance: Refers to the relative distance from the receiving side.
실제 이 필드는 TMN(Telecommunication Management Network)용으로 사용될 수 있다.Loopback located ID: Filled with zeros in the procedure for determining the loopback relative position, and upon return, the loopback designator at the end point is filled in (the loopback positioner is not necessarily unique). Name combinations are also possible). In fact, this field may be used for a Telecommunication Management Network (TMN).
Therefore, when the loopback position is determined by the relative procedure of the loopback, the calling party can know which loopback destination is the loopback. However, the actual loopback locator may only be used by a specific network operator for defects of network elements in its own area, so the locator only displays its name and does not have any correlation with the specific position as described above.
As described above, in the loopback position designation method using the loopback procedure of the present invention, the loopback position designation can be specified by coding the relative position in FIG. This eliminates the need to be unique in the network and also has the advantage of not having to know the receiver's loopback locator. Therefore, the function of loopback can be maximized and defect points can be easily detected, and the network management center can efficiently manage the network without the information of the entire network, and greatly simplify the implementation of network management. Can be.
