종래에는 전기전자 제품을 외부 충격으로부터 보호하기 위하여 폴리에틸렌 등으로 된 성형물의 완충부재를 포장상자용 내부 포장체로 사용하였다. 제1도는 종래의 전형적인 전기전자 제품 포장상자용 내부 포장체의 사용 예를 도시한 것이다. 상기 전기전자 제품을 운반, 보관 및 판매를 위하여 포장상자(4)의 내부에 상기 제품(3)을 넣었을 때 상기 포장상자(4)의 외부에서 전달되는 충격이 상기 제품(3)에 직접 전달되는 것을 방지하기 위하여 이 제품(3)의 좌, 우측 하단면과 상단면에 각각 폴리에틸렌 등의 합성수지로 된 완충부재(5,6,7,8)를 위치 시킨 후 상기 제품(3)을 포장상자(4)에 넣었다. 상기 완충부재(5,6,7,8)들은 상기 제품에 위치되는 부분에 따라 우측상단부에 위치한 완충부재(6)와 좌측하단부에 위치한 완충부재(7)의 형상이 동일하고, 좌측상단부에 위치한 완충부재(5)와 우측 하단부에 위치한 완충부재(8)의 형상이 동일하지만 동일 단부의 좌우측에 위치하는 완충부재는 서로 그 형상이 대칭형으로 되어있다. 따라서, 제품 포장시간이 길고 이 완충부재의 제작에 드는 비용과 금형 비용이 과다 지출되었다. 또한, 상기 완충부재의 재활용이 불가능할 뿐 아니라, 사용후 자연상태에서 분해되지 않음으로써 환경문제를 야기하는 한 요인이 되었다.Conventionally, in order to protect electrical and electronic products from external impact, a cushioning member of a molded article made of polyethylene or the like was used as an inner package for a packaging box. 1 shows an example of use of an inner package for a typical typical electrical and electronic product packaging.
