A roasting and grinding apparatus for coffee beans, comprising: one or more housings for receiving one or more bean containers (10, 20); the grinding device (60) comprises a reader (62) for acquiring information of product parameters of the roasted coffee beans of the one or more bean containers (10, 20); the grinding device (60) further comprises a control unit configured to adapt a grind size and amount of the roasted coffee beans provided from the coffee bean containers (10, 20) to obtain from each bean container a specific coffee amount and/or a specific coffee blend amount that is ground according to the product parameters and/or according to a recipe database (64) and/or according to a user input.

encoding said product parameters on said coffee bean container (10);
attaching a coffee bean container (10) to said grinding device (60);
reading said product parameters of said coffee bean container (10);
and performing grinding according to the read product parameters for grind size and amount.

performing grinding for the grind size and amount of each of the coffee bean containers (10, 20) according to the product parameters read for each and according to the type of beverage to be prepared from the ground roasted coffee beans according to the recipe database (51).
