1.AAVタンパク質ではない異種タンパク質からの少なくとも4個かつ最大で12個の連続アミノ酸のペプチド挿入物を含む組換えアデノ随伴ウイルス(rAAV)カプシドタンパク質であって、前記ペプチド挿入物は、図8のAAV9カプシドタンパク質のアミノ酸138;またはアミノ酸451~461のうちの1つに対応するアミノ酸残基の直後にあり、前記カプシドタンパク質がAAV粒子としてパッケージングされた場合、前記ペプチド挿入物は表面露出される、前記組換えアデノ随伴ウイルス(rAAV)カプシドタンパク質。
2.組換えアデノ随伴ウイルス(rAAV)カプシドタンパク質であって、前記カプシドタンパク質は、
(i)神経組織ホーミングタンパク質またはドメイン(但し、ペプチド挿入物は、配列TLAVPFK(配列番号27)を含まない);
(ii)軸糸または細胞質ダイニンホーミングドメイン;
(iii)骨ホーミングドメイン;
(iv)腎臓ホーミングドメイン;
(v)筋肉ホーミングドメイン;
(vi)内皮細胞ホーミングドメイン;
(vii)インテグリン受容体結合ドメイン;
