To assess the potential role of IL8 blockade in DN progression, 7-week-old db / db mice were treated with 15 mg / kg (ip) repalixin twice daily (up to 25-week-old) for 18 weeks. .. Briefly, animals were housed in a metabolic cage (Nalgene) in a dimmed environment with free water intake and feces and urine were isolated. The sample collection tube was routed under the cage through a small hole at the bottom of the dimming environment.
