Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the recovering job of the abnormality of a traveling robot by using a means which restarts the robot and continues this working in case of the external abnormality except a control system of the robot. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 receives a command for emergency stop and produces an alarm to cut off the driving power for a servo motor. Thus the movement of a traveling robot is stopped. Then the CPU 1 checks whether the alarm signals are received or not from a front bumper, a rear bumper and a senor respectively. If so, the CPU 1 starts a timer since the recovery of alarm is possible. Then the CPU 1 decides repetitively whether or not the alarm is recovered and the timer goes to a time-up state. Thus the CPU 1 performs a resetting process when the abnormality of the robot is recovered before the timer goes to a time-up state. As a result, the working of the robot is continued.
