Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the formation of a hot plate having high heat transfer efficiency from a heat source to a metallic plate by changing the shape or material of electrodes which sandwich a heating element for heating a material to form an image to the softening temp. thereof or above with a heating side and nonheating side. CONSTITUTION:The electrodes 491, 492 are disposed before and behind the heating element 490 and the electrode 491 is made of a metal having a high thermal conductivity and is formed as thin as possible. On the other hand, the electrode 492 is formed of a metal having a relatively poor thermal conductivity and is formed thicker than the electrode 491. The materials and thicknesses vary with the electrode 492 and the electrode 491 in such a manner and, therefore, the electrode 491 is better in the thermal conductivity than the electrode 492 and the quantity of the heat to be supplied to the hot plate 470 side is increased. The heat transmission efficiency of the quantity of the heat generated by the heating element to the hot plate is thereby enhanced.
