Abstract

Therefore, the press-contacting power of the end part area 32 of the cleaning blade 15 which abuts on the photosensitive drum 1 to the part 35 of the photosensitive drum facing it is made weaker than that of other part cleaning blade, that means, the central part 34 in the longitudinal direction of the blade, to the part of the photosensitive body facing it. Thus, excessive stress does not occur on the outer layer part of the part of the photosensitive drum facing the leading edge part 33 of the blade 15 and the early destruction in this part can be prevented.
