Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the execution of surveying by using one laser sensor and thereby to make the sensor small in size, by sensing laser lights from beacons provided at two reference points, respectively, and by discriminating the beacon emitting a given laser light, by an arithmetic means. CONSTITUTION:In a triangle wherein a point C to be measured is contained as one vertex on a plane, reference points A and B are provided at other two vertexes and laser beacons 10 and 13 rotating reversely to each other, reference direction detectors 11 and 14 and reference direction signal transmission means 12 and 15 are provided at these reference points A and B respectively. Besides, a laser sensor 16, a reference direction signal sensing means 17 and an arithmetic means 18 are provided at the point C to be measured. The direction of a sensed laser light is detected by the arithmetic means 18 and it is discriminated thereby from which one of the laser beacons 10 and 13 said laser light is emitted. After the discrimination, the reference directions of the lights and a difference in a time for reaching the point C between them are determined respectively, and the coordinates of the point C to be measured are calculated from the difference in the time for reaching this point and a distance between the two reference points.
