Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the rattering noise of a differential gear in a low torque area by generating multistage variable friction force with respect to one plate in at least more than two angle areas through a projecting portion provided in the other plate in a multistage variable friction mechanism. CONSTITUTION:An elastic body 7a is arranged between an inside hub 2 and an outside hub 3. In addition, a multistage variable friction mechanism 10 composed of a portion of an annular spring plate 8 and a portion of a thrust plate 9 is provided between the inside hub 2 and the outside hub 3. Along the outer circumferential portion of the spring plate 8, plural leaf spring portions 12 are provided at definite intervals in such a way to be bent. The leaf spring portion 2 is almost arc shaped, and a portion from the middle portion to the top portion is not supported by the main body portion of the spring plate 8 so as to exhibit spring performance freely. Plural claw portions 14 are provided in the inner circumferential portion of the thrust plate 9.
