Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent any accident such as contact of a rotary part to a static part or burning of a bearing by detecting operation condition amount of each bearing by means of a condition amount detector, and computing a bearing level amendment amount for restricting shaft oscillation, so as to automatically adjust the bearing level. CONSTITUTION:Operation condition amounts of bearings 6a, 7a...11b, 12a are automatically and successively detected by a condition amount detector 13 and input to a bearing level change amount computing unit 14 to compare them with set values. When deviations exceed specified values, the unit judges that, displacements occur in bearings and computes bearing level change amounts against normal values. Signals therefrom are then input to a pressure setter 15 where bearing level amendment amounts are computed and each pressure of high-pressure fluid to be supplied to each bearing is set. The signals are then input to a bearing driving device 16 and the high-pressure fluid responsive to the signals is supplied. The bearings are pressed to their normal fixed positions by the working pressure, and thereby each bearing level is automatically adjusted to keep the condition that no shaft oscillation is generated.
