Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound capable of providing cured products having excellent heat resistance, mechanical properties, etc., with a high substitution ratio in a short time, by using a metallic halide as a catalyst in reacting a chlorinated phosphazene polymer with an unsaturated hydroxy compound. CONSTITUTION:A chlorinated phosphazene polymer is reacted with a polymerizable double bond-containing hydroxy compound or a hydroxy compound without containing the polymerizable group using a metallic halide (preferably ZnCl2, etc.) as a catalyst to afford the aimed compound. Further, 2- hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate, etc., are preferred as the polymerizable double bond-containing hydroxy compound. For example, methyl alcohol, etc., are used as the hydroxy compound without containing the polymerizable group. Furthermore, the afore-mentioned reaction is preferably carried out at 40-60 deg.C.
