Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the shearing width of a plate end part, to improve the yield and to prevent the generation of the roll over and burr of the plate shearing part by slitting the plate end part by a laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A notch 3 is cut by a laser projecting device at both ends of a plate 2 and thereafter the shearing of the plate 2 can be executed at the part of the notch 3 by the blades 5, 6 of a trimmer 4. The shearing width W of the plate 2 both end parts can be reduced more than 1.5 times the plate thickness and the yield can therefore be improved. Also, since the mechanical shearing amt. may be less no roll over nor burr are caused on the shearing face of the plate 2.
