PURPOSE:To preclude miscopying by providing means which discriminate the colors of copy forms, means which discriminate the colors of toner particles, means which compare the toner colors with the copy form colors and a means which gives a warning unless a developing device which contains toner of different color from the copy form is mounted. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with means 20 and 21 which discriminate the colors of the copy forms put in paper feed cassettes 14 and 15, means 40 and 41 which discriminate the colors of toner particles put in developing devices 5 and 6 and the means which compares the toner colors with the copy form colors. Then the means is provided which warns that the developer containing toner of color different from the color of the copy form is not mounted when the form is selected and a copy is taken. Therefore, such a state that an image which is copied so that the copy form color and the toner color are the same can not be recognized is eliminated. Consequently, miscopying is precluded.
