Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable washing of a large amt. of objects to be treated without splashing solvent vapor into the atmosphere. by providing the inside of a hermetically closed outside casing with plural cleaning tanks enclosed by inside casings opened in the upper parts of the casings and providing both sides thereof with inlet and outlet chambers hermetically closable from the inside spacing. CONSTITUTION: A cap 10 of the inlet chamber 8 is closed and after the solvent vapor in the inlet chamber 8 is sufficiently discharged by the operation of a vacuum pump, a door 14 on the side wall of the outside casing 1 is opened and the materials to be treated which are contained in a vessel 5 are loaded into the inlet chamber 8. Next, the door 14 is closed and thereafter the cap 10 of the inlet chamber 8 is opened and a horizontal beam 30 is lowered to chuck the vessel 5 within the inlet chamber 8 by means of a vessel hanger 34 at the left end. The vessel is then transferred from the inlet chamber 8 to the cleaning tank 4 where the materials to be treated are successively subjected to liquid cleaning and vapor cleaning. The vessel 5 is transferred by the vessel hanger 34 to an outlet chamber 9 after the cleaning in such a manner and simultaneously the upper opening of the outlet chamber 9 is covered by a cap 11 and the inside of the outlet chamber 9 is hermetically sealed from the internal space 2 of the outside casing 1. The pressure in the outlet chamber 9 is reduced in this state to evaporate the solvent on the objects to be treated and discharge.
