Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a compressor to be started in a high speed by providing a heat insulating material, having an adsorbent with steam serving as the adsorbing medium in the inside, in the periphery of a vessel in which an electric motor part and a compression mechanism part are built. CONSTITUTION:A compressor 7 in an air conditioner is formed providing respectively an electric motor part 9 to be arranged in the upper part while a compression mechanism part 10, driven by the electric motor part 9, to be arranged in the bottom part, in the inside of an enclosed vessel 8, and lubricating oil 11 is contained in the bottom part in the vessel 8. By mounting a fiber-state heat insulating material 12 to be wound in the periphery of the enclosed vessel 8, a silicagel, which is an adsorbent with steam serving as the adsorbing medium, is built in this heat insulating material 12. The compressor 7 relaxes its temperature decrease, after the air conditioner stops, by heating the heat insulating material 12 by adsorption heat generated when the adsorbent 13 adsorbs the steam. In this way, the compressor 7, when it is started, maintains its temperature higher than that of the outside air, and the compressor can be started in a high speed by preventing a regrigerant from its sleep in the compressor.
