2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there is a type of information input device that uses a pressure-sensitive resistor sheet to input information by utilizing a change in resistance at a pressed position. On the other hand, on each side of the resistor 3, there are detection electrodes 5a, 5b, 5c, and 5d each having a plurality of diodes arranged and connected at equal intervals.
is provided. These detection electrodes 5a, 5
b, 5c, and 5d are for uniformly flowing the current flowing into the resistor 3 from the power source 4 through the pressed position of the conductive layer 2 and the pressure-sensitive sheet 1 from the entire area of each side of the resistor 3. It is. Note that the diode prevents the current that has once flowed out from flowing back into the resistor 3. The detection electrodes 5a, 5b, 5c, and 5d are commonly connected to the opposing electrodes 5a, 5b, 5c, and 5d through detection resistors 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d, respectively, and then a switch is activated. 1 via 7a and 7b
constant current sources 8. This constant current source 8 is for making the output current of the power source 4 for applying the driving voltage constant. Also, among the detection resistors 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d, resistors 6b and 6
Operational amplifiers 9a and 9b for detecting the voltage drop are connected to c, and the voltage values detected by these operational amplifiers 9a and 9b are passed through sampling and hold circuits (S/H) 10a and 10b. It is now being output. The detection control circuit 11 alternately closes the switches 7a and 7b, and causes the sampling and hold circuits 10a and 10b to perform a sampling and holding operation accordingly, thereby changing the pressed position on the input surface. This is for detecting separately in the X direction and the Y direction.

Here, assuming that the switch 7a is closed by the control signal issued from the detection control circuit 11, the output current of the power source 4 is changed to the pressure of the conductive layer 2 and the pressure-sensitive sheet 1 by the pressing operation with the indicator pen. It flows out from the detection electrodes 5a, 5b via the position and the resistor 3, and then flows to the detection resistors 6a, 6b. Of these detection resistors 6a and 6b, a voltage drop across resistor 6b is detected by operational amplifier 9b, and this detected value is held in sampling hold circuit 10b. Note that since the sum of the currents flowing through each of the detection resistors 6a and 6b is determined to be a constant value by the constant current source 8, the ratio of the currents flowing through each of the detection resistors 6a and 6b is determined by the pressure sensitive sheet 1.
This corresponds to the resistance ratio of the resistor 3 corresponding to the pressed position. Therefore, the operational amplifier 9b
Detected by sampling hold circuit 10b
The value of the voltage drop across the detection resistor 6b held at , directly indicates the X-direction coordinate of the pressed position on the input surface.

As a result, the output current of the power source 4 flows out from the detection electrodes 5c, 5d and flows to the detection resistors 6c, 6d, and the voltage drop across the detection resistor 6c is used as information indicating the Y-direction coordinate of the pressed position by the operational amplifier 9a. Detected. In this way, the coordinates of the pressed position in the X and Y directions are detected.

However, in the conventional device, the X-direction and Y-direction coordinates of the pressed position are alternately detected by using one constant current source 8 and switching the switches 7a and 7b. Therefore, information switches 7a and 7b and a circuit for switching control thereof are required, as well as sampling and holding circuits 10a and 10b for holding each detected value in the X direction and Y direction. Therefore, the circuit configuration becomes complicated, which is not practical. In addition, since detection is performed while switching,
Unstable elements are likely to be included in the detected values, making it difficult to improve detection accuracy.

The currents flowing out from 5d are each made constant independently. The constant current source 22a is a field effect transistor 50
The source and gate of are connected by a resistor R5 , and when a positive voltage is applied to the drain by the input, a constant current I1 is output. 22b also has a similar configuration. Further, operational amplifiers 21a and 21 are provided between the detection electrode 5a and the terminal 101, and between the detection electrode 5d and the terminal 101, respectively.
b are connected, detect the potential difference between the detection electrode 5a and the terminal 101 and between the detection electrode 5d and the terminal 101, respectively, and output these potential differences as the position coordinates (X, Y) of the input (pressed) point. . moreover,
The comparison circuit 24 compares the potential appearing on the detection electrode 5a with the output voltage E1 of the reference power supply 25, and when the potential is higher than the reference voltage, the comparison circuit 24 generates a Z signal of "H" level. When the Z signal is at the "H" level, it is determined that there is an input (press), and the X and Y signals obtained at that time are considered significant.

When an input is performed, the conductive layer is brought into electrical contact with the resistor 3 at the input position via the pressure-sensitive sheet 1 due to the pen pressure. In Figure 4,
When a power source E for applying a drive voltage is applied to the input position indicated by the reference numeral 100, a constant current I 1 is applied to the equivalent resistance R 1 between the detection electrode 5a and the input position 100.
Similarly, a constant current I 2 flows through the equivalent resistance R 2 between the detection electrode 5d and the input position 100. Since the resistor 3 has a uniform resistance value, R 1 is proportional to the distance between the detection electrode 5a and the input position 100, and R 2 is proportional to the distance between the detection electrode 5a and the input position 100.
and the input position 100. This R 1
The values of R 2 and R 2 can be obtained by measuring the voltage drops R 1 I 1 and R 2 I 2 due to the constant currents I 1 and I 2 between the two resistors. Therefore, by measuring R 1 I 1 and R 2 I 2 , the X and Y coordinates of the input position 100 can be obtained.

The subtraction circuit consisting of the operational amplifier 21a etc. is connected to the input position 1 via the resistor R3 .
00 and the output terminal 104 of the detection electrode 5a is detected. If the subtraction circuit is constructed from elements with high input impedance such as operational amplifiers, R 3
The effect of is negligible. Further, since the current flowing through the diode in the detection electrode 5a is constant, the voltage drop can be known in advance and corrected. Similarly, the subtraction circuit made up of the operational amplifier 21b is a resistor.
