Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a compact wave motion pump and increase a pump supplied water amount by fixedly support a caisson opened to ocean to fit slidably a float in a cylinder provided on the upper portion of the caisson so that the float is reciprocated by wave energy. CONSTITUTION:A caisson 3 opened to ocean is fixedly supported in the sea and a cylinder 1 in which a float 2 vacant in operation is slidably fitted is disposed on the upper portion of the caisson 3. To this cylinder 1 are connected sea water intake and discharge pipes 6, 9 opened to a chamber having volume expanded and contracted by the reciprocation of float 2, and check valves 7, 8 are respectively provided on the openings of cylinder of respective pipes 6, 9. Also, a wave collecting device 5 is provided in front of a wave intake port 4 of caisson 3 opened to ocean. The float 2 is reciprocated by the upward and downward motion of wave so that the sea water taken in from the sea water intake pipe 6 in the descent of float is operatively discharged from the discharge pipe 9 in the ascent of float 2.
