Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a system small-sized by incorporating a capacitor connected in series to one electrode terminal of a discharge tube. CONSTITUTION:A bottomed cylindrical cap 6 formed with a conducting member such as metal is fitted to the end section of a glass tube, a through capacitor penetrating a hole provided on the bottom of this cap 6 is fitted nearly in close contact with an electrode 2. The through electrode 5a of the through capacitor 5 is connected in series to an electrode terminal 3, and the other peripheral electrode 5b is connected to the cap 6. The system can be thereby made small- sized.
