Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording medium capable of being rewritten by only irradiation with light, by irradiating a composition comprising a prepolymer having at least two polymerizable unsaturated groups in the molecule thereof, a photosensitizer and a fulgide compound, simultaneously with visible light and UV light. CONSTITUTION:A prepolymer having at least two polymerizable unsaturated groups in the molecule thereof is a condensate of an oligoester polyol with acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, whereas a photosensitizer is a methyl ether of benzoin or the like, and a fulgide compound is a compound of formula (1), wherein each of R1 and R2 is at least one atom. or radical selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, hyxroxyl, a halogen, nitro, amino, alkyl, alkoxyl and aryl. The three substances are mixed with each other to obtain a photopolymericable resin composition, which is irradiated simultaneously with visible light containing a wavelength of 450-650nm and UV light having a wavelength of not more than 400nm, thereby producing a recording medium.
