Abstract

PURPOSE:To get rid of the lack of cooling capacity at the time of stopping an automobile as much as possible by operating a capacity setting mechanism when a heat load is above a defined value according to a heatload detecting means and when an idling-up device is operating. CONSTITUTION:When an automobile is stopped and in an idling condition, as a compressor 12b or any other accessory is operated, a first idling solenoid 74 is operated by the signal of an engine/transmission control box 72 to cope with the resultant increase in engine load. When either of the data of an outside air temperature sensor 64 and a solar-radiation quantity sensor 66 becomes above a defined value and further, as the solenoid 74 is operated, a control unit 62 operates a solenoid valve 58 provided on the compressor 12b. Thereby, the discharge of a refrigerant from the compressor 12b is kept maximum, making the cooling capacity of a cooler system 12 larger than that when the discharge of the refrigerant from the compressor 12b is controlled to be constant.
