Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure sufficiently the detaching hole for an ignition plug by bringing the central cam, out of three cams formed on one camshaft, into slidably contact with the rocker arm on the counter-ignition-plug side, and further by bringing the cams on both sides thereof into slidably contact with the rocker arm on the ignition-plug side. CONSTITUTION:In an engine 12, one camshaft 13 which traverses above the central part of a combustion chamber 15 is provided. Further, on the upper front and rear sides of the combustion chamber 15, two exhaust valves 14 and an intake valve 18 are provided respectively. And a pair of right and left rocker arms 32, 33 for exhaust are independently and rockably supported on a pair of right and left rocker-arm shaft 34, 35 respectively, and further respective both ends of these rocker arms are faced to respective cams 30, 31 situated outside and to respective exhaust valves 14. On the other hand, a rocker arm 36 for intake is rockably supported on a rocker-arm shaft 37, and both ends thereof are faced to a central cam 29 and to each intake valve 18. Thus, a space for penetrating the detaching hole 40 of an ignition plug 38 can be formed between respective rocker-arm shafts 34, 35.
