Abstract

The switching frequency of a switch 8 is synchronized with the clock frequency of the reading of an image pickup element 2. After a Y signal obtained from the cell of W is processed by a first sample-hold circuit 3 and a first gamma correcting circuit 5, only the reading time of two image elements of the image pickup element 2 is delayed by a first 2-word delaying 7.
